Is it possible to get a refund for a game bought on the Psn store?
So I just set my PS4 up tonight, downloaded the system update just fine. Now I can't seem to sign in to PSN, it hangs after I put my email and pass in. I loaded the website store up to check if my credentials were correct, which they were.
Any ideas? Or is the network just down? If so, can I play disc games and still have my saves/ trophies?

My Battlefield 4 "full game" install has been at 45% for about an hour now. I played through some of the campaign and it didn't move. Is this an issue? Can I play another game and have it still install? Why is there no actual real-time progress bar?

It sounds like from a few posts here tonight, that the PSN is acting up at the moment.
Indeed, after letting it hang a few times for longer than five minutes it never did give an error. After a few tries of reentering my information it went through almost immediately. Definitely some screwy server issues tonight.
This might have been discussed before but does the light have that much of an effect on the battery life?

I dunno about other people but everything is back and working for me right now. Each game's overview and "what's new" stuff, ps store, psn, the f2p. its all back. is it the same for others?

Goddam, so many weird tiny things that are so weird about the interface. We really got to get together and make an official PLEASE FIX thread, gather a list and try and get it seen.
I still have NO idea how to edit clips, do you have to connect to Facebook to do that? Also, I SWEAR I heard that there was a separate Friends List for Real-life friends... where is that? That would be a great idea.
And what the hell is the point of the About Me section? It allows for like 3 words. "I LIKE CATS". So many weird things like that.

Yes, the only option right now is Facebook. Sign in and it's as easy as can be to edit the clip.
? It's just a little blurb. I don't think they want you to write your eHarmony profile.

1. Yeah we should do that.
2. You click on the video and at the top right is the preview and edit buttons.
3. I use the about me section to list my Gaf name so people know its me when friending them.

Hopefully tomorrow. Oh well, I ain't even mad.I've read several people are able to use the mic on the pulse elite headset when having it connected to the controller. I connected mine to the controller but I cannot use the mic. The game audio and chat coming from other players works fine. Not sure what I'm doing wrong. Anyone have any ideas?

If I buy PSN store gift card from Amazon.com, then use it on an american PSN account to download a game, will I then be able to play that game on an European account? All this happens on the same PS4.

Yea, in the settings there is a Passcode option. It'll ask you to enter it every time you turn it on.

Even though I thought the PS3 version was poop when I rented it, I took a chance and picked up the PS4 version of Ghosts in hopes that it is a better game.
To my surprise, it really is. The graphics are no longer butt ugly and jaggy (even though still pales in comparison to the other FPS titles), the framerate is much stronger than it is on the PS3 even with the issues on PS4, and the game controls much better.
I was kicking serious ass online tonight and actually enjoying myself, unlike the time I spent with the PS3 version. I don't hate this game now.

I have what's probably a really dumb question, but I just got off a 17 hour flight and am running on fumes. I've finally got my PS4 in hand! I threw in a 1tb drive and bought 3 games on the PSN store which are downloading now. I am headed to bed now, so I hit the power button. The light on the PS4 is orange now and my TV is receiving no signal. Is it still downloading the games in standbye mode? Or is there a different mode or setting I need to use?
It's only asking for it when I click my profile but if I sign in as new it doesnt ask.
Yeah orange is standby. It will download and install.

I gotta say PSN speeds are wayyy better than they used to be. I'm getting 3-4MB/s which is my connections max.

My BF4 not installing was resolved by deleting and reinstalling. 2nd time around was relatively quick.

Returning the gaming headphones I bought right before my PS4 came. My apple earbuds will do just fine for now, and I plan to upgrade earphones later next year. Honestly the best feature of the PS4 is allowing you to use your own headphones.

I returned the camera because the mic on it wasn't working. I kind f regretted buying it anyway and I knew they would be out of stock at Best Buy so I returned it and picked up NBA 2K14 instead. That game is pretty fun, but OMG hip hop fucking overload.
I'm happy with all my games. There really was a lot of variety in this consoles launch.
I got:
Assassin's Creed IV: BF for 3rd person adventuring.
NFS: Rivals for my racing fix.
KIllzone: SF for my fps needs (mostly for multiplayer)
NBA 2K14 for sports.
Resogun for my arcade shooter fix.
I really can't complain. One could hope for an rpg of some kind but that's always a tall order for a system launch.
I'm happy with all my games. There really was a lot of variety in this consoles launch.

Oh, wow. First negative experience with my PS4 just happened. I was playing ACIV and all of a sudden the game crashed and went to some screen that said this application closed unexpectedly or something with an option to add a comment and to report the issue.
The fact that they have a unique UI screen and a comment section for reporting shit like this has got me worried. I'm used to random crashes on PC because of the nature of the platform, but the one perk about console gaming is that shit isn't supposed to crash. All I can say is, wow. Still enjoying my PS4, but that makes me nervous as fuck. Dedicated gaming consoles aren't supposed to crash. Freeze up or lock up occasionally? Sure. Comes with the territory. Crash to the UI and would like to report this problem comment section? No.
Other than that, my only other gripe is the crappy battery life of the DS4. I've had the console three days and have had to recharge the controller twice so far.

Smart time to do it. Sunday night, when everyone has school/work the next day.
The PS3 and I would assume the 360 would crash occasionally. I remember sending in error reports on PS3

I hear ya on that. That's definitely a bummer. But at least it charges really quick.
I think they should dim the light bar brightness by 20% or so, when the camera is not in use. That would extend battery life quite a bit; I think.
I just had a mini-heart attack. I turned on the PS4 to play a little of Killzone and suddenly i didn't get any signal on the TV; i then turned around the console to unplug, check and plug again the HDMI and nothing happened.
I was already fearing the worse when the TV suddenly flashed and i could see the UI of the PS4 and found out that my old cable (i used my old cable plugged on my PS3 for my PS4) is kinda dying. I just changed it for the one that cames wit the PS4 and everything was fine D:

I'm loving the PS4 so far. How do I view upload video clips from other people or my friends? Also how can I join a multiplayer game if I'm watching the stream like Shu did at E3?
