I'm having PS4 withdrawalsFirst day back at work since the launch and all I want to do is lounge around in my underwear and play games!
I was on my paternity leave when the PS4 came out and this is my first day back to work. So not only am I missing the quality PS4 time I had when my son was sleeping, I'm missing him too
A couple of questions regarding the HDD - I currently have a 1TB HDD in my PS3 (the same Samsung one that's been posted here a few times I think). However, once I get the PS4 I won't be using the PS3 as much, but still want to keep it around for PS+ games etc. So:
1. When I get the PS4, can I immediately swap the HDDs around (i.e. put the PS3's 1TB HDD in the PS4, and put the PS4's 500GB HDD into the PS3)?
2. If yes, do I need to format either/both of them, or do anything else apart from having the firmware on a USB stick - or can I just swap them over and both consoles will take care of automatically formatting and removing the "wrong" OS etc?

Yea true but I ended up looking online and found most of everything. Doesn't it have a manual like the other games when u click on warframe and go down where the screenshots etc is?

Yea true its just so much going on with the game its pretty cool though. I'm happy just running the missions and acting like a ninja I guess when u get bored of that then u hunt for items to do cool moves and get money then when u bored with that you craft then I guess when u get bored of that wait for the next update lol

heh, but seriously, those first two are good enough for me. I put the unit into standby and launch pretty much all games with voice. wish you could launch netflix and hulu with voice but damned if I could get them to work.
pretty sure that's entirely separate. We'd know if the TrueAudio DSP had a DTS hardware decoder in it from AMD already.
Video while streaming, that's about it.
I actually have a question for anyone that has the camera. How long is the cable on the thing. My set up would require it to be ~12' long, so anything shorter means I will likely never get this thing unless they release an extension cable.

I'm finding myself taking areas slowly and planning out attacks far more than I thought I would ever need to.
Very engaging game to me. Every step of the way so far leads to possible 1 or 2-hit deaths.

How do you see what game add-ons you actually have downloaded?
I should have the Free Fall map for CoD: Ghosts but I can't find where it is on my HDD and it's not showing up in the game.

yeah, this is really unintuitive..
from what it looks like:
a) you can't download DLC without first downloading/installing the game.
b) after you download the DLC, it updates the download/install file/package directly
someone else can maybe confirm, but if you want to delete individual DLC or such you no longer have that choice. You now have to delete either the entire game/cache (though this doesn't affect your saves)

That's really strange, and backwards. I like to know exactly what's on my HDD and be able to delete specific things.
I posted earlier but looked over my post history and it seems to be MIA. so ordered a US ps4 and its on the way here - didn't buy any games but are games available on PSN? besides resogun that is.
Every games on PS4 is available day 1 on PSN.

Argh, my PS4 has been in Concord since Friday. That's only 35 minutes away, hurry up UPS. D:
So got to enjoy my PS4 over the majority of the weekend and have tried out all physical games I've purchased plus Resogun and Playroom. So far, I am loving the system and everything that I've been able to play.
Killzone - Love the multiplayer. Single player looks good, but I've only reached the 3rd chapter.
BF4 - Only multiplayer and I suck hardcore at it. Gotta get better.
Resogun - Looks brilliant and love the music too. Also suck at it, but I've never been that good at twin-stick shooters.
Knack - Beaten. Had a good deal of fun. Hard was hard. Did have the game freeze the system and was kicked to Safe mode, but no issues outside of that. Not a bad game to pick up, but probably won't be playing again any time soon.
Need For Speed - Lots of fun, great network integration, and a great soundtrack, but I want customs for it though. Nice split with police/racer and the challenges, but could do without the unskippable cut scenes. Great sense of speed.
Playroom - Good for 5mins of AR, but that's about it. Table Tennis might be good, but I haven't tried it out.
I still need to breakout Contrast, Warframe, and Flower (which I've heard looks stunning). The network stuff has been working ok for the most part and I hope Sony fixes the current connectivity issues with it in the near future. Speaking of, they need a better way to allow you to download previously purchased games, as I had problems in both PSN and through the Library tile loading a page to download Flower after purchase.
Lastly, I think I am one of the unfortunate ones with the shoddy rubber nubs on the DS4, though it's my 2nd controller. Not sure if I'll have the same issues with the other one I have.

How does the cloud function work? Same happened to me with battlefield - corrupt save file.
I have ps plus but haven't messed around with any settings - have I lost all the time I've put into the game or is there hope?

For some absolutely baffling reason I don't even think the vertical stand is available in the US.
Honestly can't believe Sony didn't have these accessories ready for launch. No stand, no (first-party) remote charger... yet.

You can remote play over the internet as well.
I think PSN and Facebook are having some issues here and there. My Facebook profile pic actually disappears from time to time but it comes back. After I was hung up on syncing trophies yesterday and it eventually went through, they didn't publish to Facebook. They synced fine and the next few trophies I earned published to Facebook okay too.
Speaking of Facebook, I really hate how they group trophy alerts for PS4. On your timeline you'll see each individual trophy as one update and on the feed they'll group all of them together under the game you earned them on. I'm probably going to turn off the alert for when you play a game. Anytime I start a game, it posts on Facebook. Even if I've played the game before, it'll post.

Brought my Vita to work today for some AC4 during downtime.
First time using none home internet for remote play, excited to see how it fairs. And i feel AC is a good game to play as a bit of latency shouldn't matter too much & i won't be bothered that i'm not playing in 1080p as the patch hasn't dropped yet.

Local network for best results, but it works over wifi with more latency. Remoteplay from the other side of the country if you want.

So last night I bought Need For Speed Rivals from the PSN store. It downloaded overnight (along with the other 2 games I purchased) and installed, but it only seems to have done a portion, as after playing the tutorial I'm taken to an "Installing Game..." screen. Is it still downloading? It is going EXTREMELY slowly, about 1% every 5-10 minutes, with 55% to go. It doesn't show up in my downloads list. Is this something that will happen in the background like other game's downloading/installation? Or do I need to be in the game on this screen for the download/installation to take place?
This just got more interesting to me. Maybe I do need a Vita.

I downloaded Chrome for my Netbook PC.. Downloaded Origin and got Battlelog for Chrome. With everything sync'd up I joined a game and while I have no idea what servers / game modes are or are not currently working, the Battlelog thing works with PS4 and a laptop / netbook / PC I joined a game using the netbook and the PS4 responded instantly.
I'm a little overwhelmed how this all works but I played for a few min and destroyed a helicopter with my tank! Having the map on my netbook is fucking GREAT!

I've got NBA 2k, BF4 and AC4 in my room now and if everything goes smoothly Killzone, Knack and Lego Marvel will be in the same package as the system is so I'll be set for a while.
I definitely wanted to try Warframe but I'm going to wait for a patch or two (for the game and from Sony's firmware team) since all I hear is about how many system locks people get while doing whatever when trying to play Warframe.

I haven't had a single lock in Warframe. They put out a 280MB patch on Saturday (I think) and I haven't seen one freeze or connection issue in that game. Hit me with a PM with your ID as I only have (GASP) 116 friend!
