Red is for the first player in FIFA, happens to me all the time when I'm playing against someone else, their controller is blue.

I bought the ps4 camera because I thought it would be cool to have, but it seems pretty useless at the moment. Playroom gets boring in about 5 minutes, and the only use for it now is streaming, and what... Just Dance? No thanks
Ya, video call is good use for it. Maybe wait for Media Molecule game?

I don't mind it at all, but honestly sony should give the option to shut it off to extend the battery life, same with the speaker. I know you can mute it, but I'm sure powering them both down will extend the life.

Ugh, too soon. I am a victim of this feature with my Pioneer Kuro Elite. Add to that, I often game in the dark and I kid you not, my living room carries a faint glow of whatever color the lightbar emits.
I love the idea and the execution of the lightbar. I really do. I could just do without the reflection on my TV!

So have we ever figured out what the deal is with the vertical stand and controller charging base?
I use the official Sony 3D Playstation tv or whatever it's called... The thing that looks like a 24in PSP lo. Not a bad tv but that thing is a mirror! And since it'S a small tv, it makes it even worse since I have to sit like 2 feets away from it.
What about? I have the charging station and I love it.

I know exactly what you are talking about. I had entertained the idea of that TV as a PC monitor until I saw just how reflective it was.

Just thought I mention this but since last night I couldn't get most Twitch streams to work(from the PS4) although a few did. Streams from Ustream on the other hand we were perfectly fine. I asked about it on GAF but nobody replied. I then asked Twitch and about 10 minutes later my problem went away. At least they fixed it quick what ever it was.
I do hope for a full blown Twitch app some day. But I do actually like that they have something built in to focus solely on PS4 streamers.

I was able to hop on best buy long enough to get mine ordered, yay.
Use http://www.nowinstock.net/videogaming/consoles/ps4/ to alert you when they come in stock. It worked great for me.

Those were the two games that I picked up and I'm satisfied with my choices. Killzone is definitely the graphical showcase, and AC4 is surprisingly fresh for an IP that I thought was fatigued.

Go with that for sure dude. I'm not sure if you like basketball but NBA 2k is the shit and looks amazing if you didn't already know, but if you don't like bball those are the best options imo. AC4 is soooo good and looks outstanding on the ps4

no. Wii U does it also, and Wii U's usage app is actually incredible. Not sure why MS or Sony don't do something similar.

I'm also surprised at how much I'm enjoying AC4. But I have to wonder how much my perspective is being enhanced by AC3 dramatically lowering the bar a year ago. I literally had zero plans to ever bother with AC4 until two days ago, when I decided that I already needed a new PS4 game after beating Killzone twice in three days.

Love the system, biggest issues are the controller battery life and how there is no indication for when it's dying or done charging.
Also it seems like installs and patches are still paired together meaning when you delete an install you delete all patches too. That is going to make constant deleting of installs a huge pain.

I play in a dark room on a projector, and I do get slightly annoyed by the glow to be honest. I stick my hands under a blanket now which gives my crotch a nice glow when I look down.
I don't think I've hit the power or eject button once since I got the console on day 1.

I still don't know where it is. I've pressed the disc eject button a couple times trying to find the power button though.

The system alerts you when it's low, and you can press the PS button to see the charge.
Also, it glows orange when you charge in standby and stops glowing when it's done.
Changed the way downloads are displayed so that you know when you're downloading a patch or a game.
I feel no shame in admitting that I had to look in the instruction sheet to find it. They made the damn thing like an inch long and a centimeter wide. My eyes aren't that good.

... Need For Speed Rivals. Go figure. Probably the least graphically impressive of the bunch. But the "multiplayer" hooks where stuff is constantly happening just keeps you playing, and playing, and playing.
... AC:Black Flag hasn't even come out of the shrinkwrap. I've played one game of NBA2K. One chapter of SP Killzone and one multiplayer match. 2 levels of LEGO Marvel. Waiting with BF4 untill it's patched.

How do you install a game? Getting disc errors when I try to play killzone
If I'm lucky I get to play 5 min before the system is asking me to shut down the game because the disc is corrupted
