Honest question here, if someone takes a look at lists like that and think "I'd rather/need get this other system" then why would you get a PS4 at this moment anyways? Wouldn't it have made sense to buy one when games you want are at least out or close to being released or heck, even announced? I mean I got a PS4 at launch but thats cause I took a look at these lists and said "There are games I want for it at launch or in the coming year". I genuinely am interested in why someone would buy so early/ not just have gotten the Xbox.

I was initially down on Killzone, but I came back to the campaign and am really enjoying it. I haven't gotten to the part that people seem to hate though (last quarter of the game)

I thought the prior Killzone games were pretty decent fun. Only played the single player, but I would need the multiplayer for this one for it to be worth the launch asking price.

I'm kinda afraid of ACIV, because Ubisoft games usually are pretty fun in the beginning but then turn into checklist-like grinds/slogs in my opinion (far cry 3 etc..).

Maybe be wary of my opinion with ACIV slightly. I've only played AC2 and that was a good while ago. I enjoyed that, and I didn't find ACIV repetitive or boring. It was good. I think it would be better to check the OT and see what folks who played the entire series are saying. As long as you avoid spoilers, it would be a good idea. Their opinion may matter more if you've been keeping up with everything AC in the past several years.

Im in the same boat as Verendus in that I stepped away from the franchise after AC2, picked this up and am reallllllly enjoying it, for what that is worth.

You're likely expecting way too much if you're expecting Sony to announce GT7 a day after they release GT6.

Anyway, does anyone know what happened to Colony Wars on the PS2? Years ago (I think it was early or mid cycle for that consoles) Sony posted on the Euro Playstation site that a new CW was in development and then nothing was ever said about it again. It was going to have an online focus if I remember correctly.

AC4 is a lot better than AC3 , the setting, character and pirate related stuff is really fun and actually interesting . However at its core it's still the same old AC2/brotherhood gameplay and has the same core AC flaws so far (tons of stuff to do but that doesn't feel like it amounts to anything, janky at times (but far less so than AC3) , same old same old tailing,eavesdropping,don't get detected, assassin mission structures) . But overall I've quite enjoyed it.

I was originally going to order Killzone, but just switched to BF4 after hearing that there is an upcoming fix for the EU release.

I choose AC4 over NFS, but they are such different genres it really comes down to what you prefer. Personally I'm burnt out on NFS. The series does nothing for me anymore.

I'm skipping the camera for the time being but I'll probably grab one later on down the line.

Is the Main character as engaging a Ezio? I found that, coupled with the nigh-on perfect map of Firenze were the big hooks for me in 2.

Question for PS4 owners:
Can we annotate our friends list at all? One thing that drives me nuts about the friends list right now is that people have different names in different places. So on GAF there will be someone named "TheBigSlosh", but on PSN the name is "SpaceInvader10". At some point I just look at "SpaceInvader10" and wonder who the hell that is, because there's too big of a disconnect. I would love it if I could put a comment below the person's PSN ID to remind myself of who they are and why I know them...anything like that going on?

I wish you could add tags to your friendslist. First create tags such as NeoGaf, NFS, BF4, Work, etc. Then just select from a list when assigning one or more to each friend. Then it would be nice to be able to only see friends with certain tags as a filter.

Another nice feature would be able to sort friends since they were last online like PS3 does automatically. Maybe this is there and I just haven't seen it.

I really need a new Hot Shots Golf. Who's with me?
