I have both games and I'm the opposite. I think Killzone has better graphics.

KZ is too colorfull . They should have kept the realistic darker look of KZ 1 and 2. BF4 has that look. the lighting effects are better on KZ but the lighting used is better in BF4. I never saw KZ as a game as if this world exists and im there. I immediately felt like that playing KZ 1 and 2 and I felt that way playing BF4
AT&T. My laptop, iPad, 360, and PS3 are downloading things much faster than my PS4 so I know it's not my connection. I just want to know why it's taking me hours to download a third of what should be a 10-15 minute update on my PS4.

I am downloading BF4 on the fly and it is saying ti will take 33 hours. How far into the download will it allow me to play? I also notice it is downloading the patch and the actual game and there is no way to prioritize them.

I think whats frustrating people is that a lot of the big titles Sony has announced are just more sequels/spinoffs to PS3 franchises. It's the reason God of War Ascensio and Gears Judgement didn't sell as well as their predecessors. People want either completely new IPs or franchises we haven't seen in a long long time (like Colony Wars, Jet Moto, Medievil, Crash Bandicoot, etc.) There is no massive pent up demand for yet another infamous, killzone, uncharted, god of war, etc. People want new experiences.

I think people who complain about the launch line-up should look at the ps2 and ps3 launch line-ups. The only game really worth a shit out of both of those was Tekken Tag Tournament, which was absolutely fantastic, but was also a port of an arcade game that was already out.

I agree, games like Puppeteer and Ratchet & Clank: Into the Nexus should of been also released on PS4. I am surprised that we didn't get Batman: Arkham Origins or WWE 2K14 on here, but I can see with WWE after the THQ bankruptcy.

You people whining about how Sony's handling this launch make me feel so old. This is how they always do things. In fact Knack and Killzone are probably their highest profile launch exclusives they've released since the PS1 launch (besides Resistance) so they're actually doing things a little different, and they have more first party games geared up for the first year than they ever had before. There won't be the standard 1 year wait for the floodgates to open on a Sony platform now.

you're right doa was sweet, and I guess fall of man was decent enough at the time. But still, those 3 vs. KZ, Knack, 2k14, ac4, resogun. This is the best launch since ps1.
Pinball Arcade, Tiny Brains, and War Thunder confirmed for early December as well (War Thunder is coming this week for Euro launch I think). I'm sure there will be more.

I have the HDMI link set up on my TV, so it's really nice to turn on the ps4 and the TV just comes on by itself too...but is there a way to stop it from turning the system on when I turn the TV on by itself to use another component on it? Or is that just going to happen no matter what...
Hmmm maybe I'll buy another game off of psn (been wanting killzone and nba 2k14) aand see if it goes faster. The current download that is stuck is a blackout patch. I think I already have all the ftp games, and given my bandwidth cap I don't want jack it up intentionally with something I've already downloaded.
If this is the situation firmware updates and patches are going to be though I'm not going to be able to handle it. Couldn't even pull the firmware down from pc...
Arg.. so I had my controller swapped on Friday because the R1 button was starting to stick. Well now the R1 button on the new one is starting to stick also.

I finally solved my PSN slow download problem.
I read on another forum that this router is the best when it comes to Sony's network:

Amazingly, PSN now downloads at full speed on my PS4 over wifi. Also, my PS3 and Vita both download a bit faster as well.

by the end of this gen we'll all be flowing about how sony had the best console library again, for the 4th gen in a row.
ps2 and ps3 both started out very weak.
Most of the regular xbox fans were using that thread as their sole posting thread on the entire forum, or one of very few. They feel like the whole board is out to get them and hide there where they think it's a safe haven from the "trolls", aka the majority of the website. They did the same thing in the several megathreads that existed earlier this year before they were locked.
If I go check the numbers I could probably guess at least half of those 17 right away.

They both look nice but Killzone is really blurry. I don't know what's going on with the motion blur or whatever but it's never sharp/clear like BF4.

Because the people proclaiming NeoGAF as a bunch of Sony fanboys are super defensive MS fanboys that can only see any criticism against MS as some kind of attack, and anyone that does is automatically a Sony fanboy.
When one company fucks up as much as Microsoft has this year, and continue to do so, it's going to seem like the majority of the board is heavily against them. They're justified for doing so too, it's not bias for being upset at all of the constant screw ups from MS. Some are definitely established Sony fanboys taking advantage of the situation but the majority of the forum are not Sony fanboys. We were much smaller in 2006 but the people that were here bashed on Sony when they were the one screwing up constantly. I know you understand all of that but that's for anyone else who might really think that.
Plus the numbers are a bit skewed because MS launched all at once whereas Sony is launching in Europe next week. For a while we basically had 2 PS4 OTs with the Euro waiting thread that was up.

I wasn't planning on getting one at launch but found out yesterday that my GF ordered one from Ebay as a surprise gift.
Although the thought is very sweet it's a huge waste of money (she paid about $700 inc. shipping) because I'm only interested in Resogun at the moment. Didn't tell her that of course

This network bug I have seems to be getting worse. A good majority of the time that I check the store when I tab out of a game it doesn't load, which then causes the what's new tab and the game activity tabs to not load anymore either, even if I just looked at them 5 seconds earlier. The other things like friends list, trophy syncing and even downloading all still work though. Is no one else getting symptoms like that? I keep hoping it's a bug on PSN that will be patched, but I seem to be the only one talking about it.

I agree it's a typical launch. Hopefully they'll be able to follow up this year with some killer 1st party games. Launch day is a battlefield for the hardware and going into next holiday season is going to be software killing fields level of war because at that point it's time to try and grab as many fence sitters and casuals as possible.
I'm hoping E3 doesn't disappoint, as well as most of the stuff they show off comes out next fall, and other developers finally get on board with the new hardware not worrying about cross-gen nonsense (though I have a feeling we will have another year of this cross-gen stuff). Next fall maybe epic if The Order delivers, Uncharted makes it's appearance, and maybe, just maybe, a GT7 Prologue.
And yes, Resistance 1 maybe one of the best launch titles Sony ever had.
