I'm guessing only the indie side because all I see are Thief/Driveclub/Infamous for early 2014.

...and FFVII:Remake? I'd be very surprised considering the current state of S-E unless they are getting some help. I would also be surprised to see FFXV before the end of 2015 and although Kitase/Toriyama's team is presumably moving on to next gen development, if that is a big time FFVII:RE it would only now be in pre-production at best. That said- with the apparent ease of PS4 development, an established foundation to build from, and a good deal of the original staff still at S-E, I could see the game finishing and releasing just in time for the 20 year anniversary in 2017. Am I hot or cold here, Verendus?
Hopefully that would mean a third FF team has been designed (Itou? Naora? Tabata?) to start FFXVI, spring-boarding from the Agni's Philosophy design.

All that aside- I'm excited for my friends in Europe to get their PS4s this week. Gonna be a fun time!

Yes it does. If you buy the physical game you redeem the code and download a special PS4 version that needs the PS3 disc in the drive as a key (to stop you trading it in). So you'd be able to play both versions.

Not sure about stat transfer. I know they support it for FIFA PS3-PS4 so they must do it for Bf4. Probably a one-time and one direction thing though

Wouldn't be a big shock to me.
Sony knows the majority of sales of a multi-plat FFXV will still go to the PS4- especially since we now know how (most?) multi-plats will be on PS4 vs X1. They didn't bite on exclusivity for FFXIII and that ended up being a very wise move for Sony in hind-sight.
FFVII is a symbol for the PlayStation brand in general. I think it would be more important for Sony to maintain that image than allow a big event FFVII:RE (and possibly some kind of FFVII-2) to go multi-platform.

If FFXV (and to an extent FFXIV) resurrects the brand name/power as much as fans think it could, a following FF exclusive could be massive again.

My PS4 is coming by the end of the year but I want to make sure I get Resogun and Contrast before they expire/change.
