Anybody had the problem where the PS4 starts but doesn't make any sounds? Like, you start a game and the sound doesn't work. Happened to me twice now. Hoping it's a software issue and not hardware related.

Happened to me once, couldn't figure out why there was no audio in Netflix. Then noticed there was no audio anywhere. Freaked out a bit, but system restart solved it.

Nope no external drive support outside of firmware updates and save file transfers/backups

DLC for PS3 games are usually region-locked whereas the games aren't

It depend on the publisher though. NamcoBandai for instance, usually region free with their DLC. My DaS copy is asian but Artorias of The Abyss US DLC worked just fine.

Should I let my DS4 run out of juice every once in a while like some people do for phones? Do I not worry about it and just charge it when I want to? Bleh, rechargeables get me a little confused sometimes.

Right now, that feature is unavailable. It might be patched in sometime in the future.

I had no problems with deleted saves but I only really played it yesterday and today. It's pretty standard military shooter fare so it's only 5 or 6 hours.

I don't know. You can go the the sen website and go to games for ps4 and click the 3d. Aciv pops up and nba2k

Same. A little shocked by the lack of battery life. I really wish they would have beefed up the internal battery capacity of this thing or made it use AA's. Too bad because I'm really enjoying the controller otherwise.

It 'makes sense' because the controller has a light and enhanced rumble features, but yes it is completely shitty that I have to remember to plug my controller in every night so that I don't end up having to sit 3 foot away from my huge ass television and try to game.

This is the worst thing. It was my most used feature on the PS3... so Is till have to use it for that. I hope they update it!

Welp, silly me.

I always assumed I would manage to find a PS4 on launch day in a department store so I never bothered pre-ordering (Australia), as the release is coming this Friday I decided to phone around a bit and to my surprise almost all stores including the big department have told me I will have to wait for 2014.

Some said they might get a shipment by Christmas and one told me if they get more in on the day than they have allotted pre-orders I can get one but come early.

A little defeated I decided to phone a department store in a semi rural town a hour and a half or so drive away from the city and I am happy to say I struck gold, preordered two today (one for myself and one for my nephew) for Nov 29 release.

Bought nba 2k14 from the digital store, first large game purchase for me. It seems to have downloaded 17gb to start the game but doesnt want to DL much after that...so I can only play quick matches.

It doesnt appear on my DL list anymore besides saying complete but if I go to info it says dl status 17/45gb.

Do I need to leave the game open to DL the rest of the file or something?

Does anyone know of any other promotion that would allow a trial of plus or would I have to start browsing ebay and such? D:

I just did 5 restarts because the screen was zoomed in at startup and I couldnt get it back to normal. I tied going into screen and sound settings but in didn't see anything in there. Any help? I remember doing a setting where you can adjust the size of apps for your tv screen. I don't remember if it was initial setup or launching a game. Try launching a game. If that doesn't work, factory reset and redo initial setup (that's what I would do).

Edit: Try another HDMI input on your tv, if you have one. Or double check the connection

Finished BF4's campaign. It was..uhh...hmm. Well it was really pretty at least.

There are only two things that stand out about the BF campaign.

1. The graphics. You will be wowed. Especially compared to Ghosts which is nothing more then an HD up port.

2. The horrendous writing. Do you like swearing? How about yelling? How about swearing while your yelling? Ugh. And people say the writing is bad in Shadow Fall. Try BF4, you'll change your mind.

Beyond that it's like what you said, it's just a standard military shooter of (in my case) 4 hours length. If anyone is only interested in the campaign do not buy this game. Redbox it.

Nope, sold is sold, doesn't matter whether it gets delivered in time.

I remain optimistic that Amazon doesn't screw up, they know how important release date delivery is with such a launch. Maybe even start sending them out a day earlier to be safe (one can always hope...).

You could always load it with another source (mobile phone charger or from lapto / computer usb port). Atleast my solution will be this. Console is so long from gaming place (~4 meters) and laptop is near. Ill charge my DS3 with laptop (mini usb) and it should work same way (micro usb) with DS4.

I have a USB wall charger that came with my phone that I use to charge the controller. There's no need to ever use the PS4 to charge the controller.
