If you go to Notifications and then scroll down to downloads and click it, your ps4 will show you what you are/have downloaded and the progress of the current download(s). Hopefully in a future update there will be some notes attached to the download to tell you what's been update

I just finished downloading the 1.51 update and it's been "preparing to install..." for quite a while now. How long is that supposed to take?

Had it for an hour and just been trying to log in to PSN for that entire time.

Great day 1 experience so far.

Sometimes I miss the plug in and play aspect of consoles...

When the time comes to replace/upgrade my HDD, is it like the PS3 where you have to backup everything to a thumbdrive and re-download the big files?

Is there a way to have the PS4 finish a download, install it, and then power off? I can't see the option anywhere, not in the same place it was on the PS3 either.

Man this thing's faaaaast. Also, remoteplay with Vita is pretty nice, though it's not quite as good as the Wii U. It feels slightly sluggish still, but it works well enough and is a vast improvement over the old remote play on PS3.

Can anyone explain how PS+ works for other regions?

I took advantage of the amazon.com sale and got AC4 and BF4 digitally. I know that you have to set up a master account in the US to download the games and then play them on the UK account after downloaded.

However I got a copy of Killzone in the UK here and I wonder which region's PS+ do I need for me to play online, UK or US?

Yeah that was the very first thing I thought too. Especially when I began installing a full game like Knack. 40GB and it kicked to 10%+ within seconds and then the Start button appeared within seconds. Was blown away.

The UI is very, very fast and everything is just fast. Love the PS4 man.

I got my PS4!!!!

And PSN is being a dick!!!

Just let me play with you... please.... got to the stage where it asks my address (which I am not happy about doing Mr. *cough*loses everyone's data*cough* Sony) and dies. Making me type out the e-mail address and password at each attempt is nuts! Only just remembered my e-mail after 3rd attempt for some reason.

Before with Xbox and after with PS4:

For those having issues logging in to PSN...

Try power-cycling the the system "TURN OFF PS4" do not enter standby mode
Doing this clears the DNS cache that can cause login issues

Also the new title thread is amazing...

It does it automagically in standby mode

It's awesomely convenient to boot up the system system (from standby mode) and have new notifications for all the games that were updated automatically at random parts of the day....

Is there a way to have the PS4 check your Facebook for other PSN players? I need more friends on my PSN friends list.

So what'S everyone setting the video output to? Standard is Automatic. Should I just set it to 1080p or leave it at automatic?
Thought about changing it, but then I wondered if it would cause problems with some games that don't support 1080p (if that's going to be a problem this time around, it certainly was with some early PS3 titles).

wtf, i thought having a line at walmart was a mess but this wasnt organized at all.

Yeah kinda messy. Usually there are proper lines ^_^
Can't keep the fanboys calm tho. They're like starving tigers in front of a fresh meat in limited quantity.

Just got mine from amazon. <3 Some go for over 700€+ at ebay. That's madness. I'll keep mine tho, even if I have nothing to play on it. :p

Just wanted to pop in and say enjoy to my fellow UK gaming brethren who finally got the PS4 over there.

I got mine on the 15th here in America and despite what some people have said I do not regret my purchase or not waiting. I held off playing games like Assassin's Creed 4 and Battlefield 4 on the current gen in anticipation.

Both games look fantastic to me even for being multi-gen and run smoothly on the system (although BF 4 admittedly still needs some fixing crash wise). Assassin's Creed is something else once you get your ship to sail around on the open sea while your crew sings shanties.

If anyone got these games along with Resogun definitely were worth the cash. Sure Sony will also gradually add features to the system through updates. Rather they did it that way than putting too much software in and having something fail making it inoperable. lol

Anyway my point is have fun fellow gamers.

Yeah, I guess I'll leave it for now, should end up outputting at 1080p anyways.

I've been playing my PS3 more the past week or as I need to finish replaying the AC games.... Finished Brotherhood earlier this week (tried some of the Missing DLC and wasn't liking it), now am chipping away at revelations which I think had some major tweaks done to the some of the crafting systems as I do not remember being able to craft OUTSIDE the crafting stations (my guess they added that due to complaints on how terribly cumbersome it was to use the crafting stations)

It's on to AC3 and Liberation (which should be coming via GameFly sometime next week) then I leap into the next gen with Black Flag and I'm really anxious to play....
