Tested the share image option yesterday, and I wonder why it uploads such a low res image to the chosen social network. It kinda makes it pointless.

Pro tip for the PS4 noobs. If you ever exit a game and find yourself knee deep in menus and just want to get back quickly, hit the Playstation button 2 times fast and voila - you're back into the game.

Oh god.

It really works anywhere. IGN app to Killzone in less than half a second. Less time than saying "Xbox Play Forza Motorsport 5", and I still think thats crazy fast.

It worked...I redownloaded and reinstalled Resogun with no problems, no crashes or anything and beat the game as well.

GAF how do you edit video? Got an awesome scene yesterday byt couldn't find the place to cut it down. Do I have to sign into Facebook to do that?

I have the same issue.

Also, when i try to trim recorded gameplay during killzone SF multiplayer, I get disconnected from the game.

I don't have any problem when trimming my gameplay videos though. Googled this problem and it looks like it's a game software bug or something. Hope Sony fixes this!

Yes. You need to choose how you want to share before editing. Hit the share button, choose facebook, then you would get the option to edit. I created a separate facebook account just to facilitate public sharing :D

I have had the console for a day now and I'm in love with it. The console looks futuristic and well built. It does sound loud when I'm playing Killzone but not other games.

When I started it refused to connect to my router. The only solution was for the encryption to be disabled. Now I've got it connectet via cable.

The OS feels fast and responsive and feels an evolution to the XMB.

As for the games - I'm enjoying Killzone, Knack and Resogun. My wife loves Just Dance 4 though I think it doesn't work as well as we think it is.

I still have two which I haven't played - assassins creed iv and battlefield 4. The former I'm waiting for the 1080p eu patch to be out and the latter I'm waiting for it to be stable.

As for the controller - I love it. It feels more comfortable than the DS3 and the touch screen, I can't wait to see what else could be implemented with it.

I picked up mine yesterday morning and we had Germans roaming the city to find one here in the Netherlands. Aint gonna happen son, all sold out everywhere.

And if there's one thing our neighbours don't like it's packs of Germans storming through. Is Sony trying to start WW3 o_O

If the availability doesn't get better this year I won't return one of my PS4s when I get my KZ bundle but give it to some poor parent at retail cost instead, damn.

Ok guys, real talk. I still can't decide which game to get and that kinda feels wrong. Games under concideration are Killzone, Knack, CoD, BF4 and AssCreed.

Killzone: Looks good but I'm not liking what I hear and read about it. How is multiplayer?

Knack: I kinda like what I've seen so far but I think I would prefer something with multiplayer to last me longer.

CoD: Haven't played a CoD sicne MW2 and was thinking about jumping back in with the PS4 but reading about the terrible job the devs did with that game I don't really wanne support it. So what's the current opinion on this game on PS4?

BF4: Seems to be broken atm plus I would prefer playing it on my pc if I ever decide to jump in.

AssCreed: Looks good and from what I hear Ubisoft did a good job but no multiplayer plus I'm not too terribly hyped for AC games atm.

Sorry for bumping my own question, but I didn't get an answer last time so I'm hoping someone can help me out today: is anyone else getting really poor sound quality out of their PS4? My TV is really nothing special, but I'm POSITIVE the sound I get when playing my PS3 and 360 through the TV speakers is much better. The PS4 sound feels muffled and slightly distorted. Any ideas about what could be the problem? I'm using the HDMI cable provided with the PS4, but that can't be the problem can it? I'm trying to watch Netflix now but the sound makes it unbearable, it's just not supposed to sound this way.

I have all of those games and the best one of them is AC4. And it does have multiplayer.

Avoid Call of Duty. It sucks. they made the maps way too big and none of them are very interesting.

Killzone multiplayer is pretty good, but the campaign is a bore.

Killzone: Campaign blows, but MP is pretty fun

Knack: Haven't played

CoD: Haven't played, but have heard polarizing viewpoints on it

BF4: Ton of fun, only bad news is that the game will crash to the XMB every once in a while

AC4: Pretty fun and crisp graphics

Thanks for the help. Yeah AC does have mp, I guess I just ignored it as I never took the mp of AC game serious. So that takes CoD of the list. Gaaahhhh, why can't I decide... Guess I'll make a decision on the spot between AC and Killzone.

I don't have Knack/BF4/CoD (BF4 is still coming by mail).

On Killzone: so far I've only played the singleplayer. It's quite different than Killzone games, as there are multiple ways to do missions and you've got to do so more searching yourself.
At first I didn't like the Owl in combination with the touchpad but after an hour or so I actually really, really like it and the way it is implemented.

Assassin's Creed 4: first AC game form me. I already played AC3 (through PS+)... which I didn't like. AC4, however, is a real surprise and thusfar I like it a lot. :)

If you've never liked the AC series before.. AC4 wont change your mind about the series.

Don't know if this is the right place to ask, but is anyone else having problems redeeming codes on the PSN Store? I want to cash in the BF4: China Rising code, but whenever I try, the PSN Store app just kicks me back to the main menu without any indication. :(

Tough call between AC 4 and Killzone. I didn't like the past entries in either series, and I really like both of these games. I'd probably say AC though, unless you just love fps. The boat mechanics are something you've never experienced in a game before...it's awesome.

Anyone know how you re download videos purchased in the PS3 store? I don't see the download list like the old one had.

Alright, my EuroPS4 found a somewhat cozy place to hang out for a while now. I really need a new TV. And a new TV rack, while we're at it.

If I buy a game digitally on an US account and then play it on my EU account does the multiplayer work if I only have plus on the EU account.... and does it connect me to europeans like normal or people in the US?

As someone who loathes and easily tires of sequels, I can confidentally say that AC4 is easily and unfortunately the best game on the system at the moment. Get AC4 if single play is important. Get KZ is MP is important to you now.

But get ac4 :p

Okay, I'm quoting myself to say I fixed this - so maybe someone else can benefit from learning how I did this. I naturally started by trying to tinker with the few sound options that are available in the PS4 settings, but that didn't do anything. But after that I changed the video output resolution in the settings (and changed it back) - and somehow THAT did it. I no longer have muffled and distorted sound. WONDERFUL! :D My PS4 launch experience is now complete and perfect.

This might be a problem that is limited to my specific TV model, as the only other person I found through a Google search with the same/similar problem seems to have exactly the same model as I do.

Go into the url of the image and change large to orig.

Thanks for the tip. =)

Even after yesterday's gaming marathon, it's still hard to believe the next generation is actually here, after all these years. Apart from the obvious graphical update, I've been impressed by the fastness of it all; start the install, and you're good to go in a matter of seconds; exit the game/app to UI and back, and the transfer is immediate without any sluggishness. No more waiting while starting and ending an application, and the UI itself is noticeably more responsive than the PS3's. It's a welcome change, as it was tiresome to move from game to Netflix, and from there to YouTube app, and wait and wait and wait between all the shifts. I actually often skipped checking something on YouTube while I was using Netflix, as I didn't want to wait while closing the app and opening another, and then do the same when returning to Netflix. It's somewhat surprising to be excited about secondary console features, but they really do add up to the experience.

There are still some things missing, like a screen saving mode and the option to group gaming content (which isn't a problem yet, with five games in the library), but I think they'll be added eventually via patches. Hopefully YouTube app will be added soon as well.

The PS4's audio level isn't very high, so maybe the "muffling" is it's just too quiet? But that shouldn't cause distortion.

Did you choose the audio settings on the PS4 yourself, or just let the console do it automatically? Maybe it's trying to pass 5.1 surround when you need plain stereo. You can deactivate the surround settings individually on the PS4.

Edit: Great to hear you fixed it! Perhaps switching the video setting made it look at the sound stream again...or maybe it was just a weird bug. :)

So i activated the uplay passport through the sen site and it activated fine. when i go to the game it still asks for activation though and to enter the 12 digit code. i went back and it put me through to the store so everything seems to work.

I am very impressed with the speed of the ui and the store. Love the streaming option , its very hassle free, and i can see how its considered a big deal. A friend was sort of meh on the console and on killzone and after watching me play it for a while he got excited for both. Too bad we cant save the stream for some reason.. i wish they fix that soon.

And to be able to upload to youtube.

Yeah it works. I have bought all my games on my us account, but play them on my EU account. Played KZ MP yesterday without any problems.
