No. You can however remove it right after you get the trial. I did that.

No they don't. You can activate 14 days of free PS+ with a CC. No music unlimited trial as far as I'm aware.

I read about some people having issues with Samsung Tvs and it was fixed by updating the TV's firmware.

How do I start this 14 day trial? Is it just when I log into PSN (downloading update now)?
Don't mind linking my credit card, as long as it doesn't auto-renew.
It'll auto-renew if you don't disable it. So once you redeem the trial code in the store, go to PSN settings and disable it.
It will auto renew so you'll wanna remob e your credit card after it goes through.

I tried watching your stream but was greeted with an insanely long hot pocket commercial featuring snoop dog and bow wow and couldn't take it any longer.
I have an issue with my PS4, the sound of the system is considerably lower than the PS3. Is that normal with everyone ?
For ex with my amplifier for a reasonable sound the PS3 is at level 55, for the same level I have to go to 70 for the PS4.
I didn't find any info on that. It's not the troubleshooting of the year but kind of annoying when I switch between two sources.

Wow, I'm impressed at how accurate the voice control seems to be. As a background, I'm not a native English speaker and at the moment I have a nasty sore throat so as you can imagine, my voice isn't exactly the best for this kind of activity at the moment.
But much to my surprise, the voice control seems to recognize my word accurately and did what I asked it to do. Kind of have to stop that for now though because my throat is getting worse. :/

I just tried downloading the update then and at the end it said 'can't download'. Now the download is starting from scratch. Hm.

Enjoying resogun a lot, but I don't know why some of my humans just seem to die before even being released. Is there a manual or something that explains?

I think once they add play/pause for BluRay and other media playback I'll use it more.
However, it's worked pretty flawlessly for me so far, even when talking at a normal volume and when I had music playing and spoke up a bit.
I was playing on experienced at first and struggling with the same thing so moved to easy to get a grip on it better. The mobs spawn slower so you have more time to think and get to your humans.
In experienced I couldn't get to the first boss half the time and kept losing multi and humans and lives. On easy I got to 5x multi, no lives lost, killed the first boss and never lost a human. So at least now I know ow what I'm doing a bit better for harder modes.
Within 2 minutes on the second level I died lol
Picked up my Killzone bundle this morning. Had a play with the UI, quick dabble with with Killzone and then tried Resogun. The console UI seems very responsive indeed, and Resogun is immediately an absolute treat. Quite staggering that it's a PS+ freebie, really. Can see it becoming a proper time sink.

If you don't kill the keepers in time then the human will die in the box. Keepers are enemies with a greenish glow around them. Killing them frees the human so you can save them
Right now the only let way to share video is via Facebook.
It doesn't really explain it but some human releases are dependent on your multiplier.

). Had the update ready on USB and surprisingly after that I got connected to PSN straight away.
I have ACIV, KZ, Lego Marvel, NFS, Injustice and BF4 on disk. Also currently downloading DC Universe Online which is bizarrely split into three downloads. One small one, one of about 8 gig that both download in the background and one even bigger one that seems to require the game running constantly to download rather annoyingly.
Hope they don't do that for Planetside 2.

I don't get it... are they caching all the thumbnails or something? The iOS app for both Netflix and Amazon Instant are both less than 100MB.
I pressed the PS button while using music unlimited and it brought up a volume control for the output and it was only at 50 no idea if it's valid for all audio.
Mine's in standby right now and I can't hear a thing.... is it properly ventilated?

Definitely not. You might have a crappy fan. I can hear my PS3 when it's on Standby, it was annoying enough that I stopped using the feature. It's not loud like the fan is spinning fast or anything, just drones at a certain (annoying) frequency.
Well each of those downloads would be apart of the infamous PS3 new game tradition of downloading game, install game, download update, install update then play game...
With PS4... you download a bare minimum version of the game that allows it to start up.... another file that includes the rest of the game that can download in the background while you are playing the game and usually a 3rd file which installs the latest update/patch
