The local Argos one is the best as their stocking system is a bit weird, so units are coming in all the time. Game and Zavvi are being cocks and withholding systems just for the massive bundles.

They are a bit behind on checking local Argos stock. By the time they pop up, they go out of stock again. I managed to snag one though by loading up the Argos site on the Knack bundle, entering my postcode to check local stock and keep clicking go. One popped up locally before that website feed updated.

The Knack bundle is recommended as it appears to be the one that comes in stock the most and is the one in least demand.

Isn't the fan always working in standby? I can still hear it running very softly when the PS4 is in standby.

My left analog-stick on one of my controlers has already started to give me bad vibes.
If i move the stick to the right, i get some resistance, i need to apply some force to it to make it move. I have played alot since release last friday but have not eaten anything while using it or something like that, and the controller have been stored in a cabinet.
Will go back with it to the store and get a replacement, first time having problems with a controller.

Unless I am going deaf, it's off. It whirred away softly once it had finished and the orange LED was pulsing. Then the PS4 'clicked' and the fan stopped. I can feel a very slight draft out the back of the console (left side), so perhaps the fan is super quiet.

Blacklight is fucking BADASS. That UI and menu music is freaking awesome.

My PC couldn't run this game at any decent setting, I'm superglad I can finally play this game now. Looks stunning and the weapons customization looks aces.

Super glad this has gone up on PSN.

And my PS4 positioning woes continue, I can actually fit it perfectly in my TV cabinet if I have it vertically yet I still get paranoid about heat :/

The PS4 will tell you if it gets too warm. Mine was really noisy the first days while playing killzone and i decided to open up the backside of my TV-cabinet and after that it has been whisper quiet. As long as it's quiet you have nothing to worry about.

Not so with PS4. CEC functionality is there, arrow keys are working in the PDM and in the BD Player, but play/pause, ff, rewind are not.
Is it just me or ist this not implemented completly yet?

I hope this will be coming in a future update as its really comfortable and works flawless otherwise.

Just had a play. I can pause with the remote 'ok' button, and FFWD/REW with left/right, but I can't pause with the remote's pause, and I can't skip chapters. Also,depending on what my Bravia sync settings are, the home button sometimes acts as a PS button, and sometimes not.

Does look like it needs some work.

Going a bit off topic here but my parents are in Puerto Rico atm, if they buy a PS4 over there will I be able to play it here in Holland?

I haven't got a PS4 yet (bought a Bone in Germany) but if a PS4 from the NTSC region works over here I'd gladly accept it with open arms.

Assuming the internal PSU switches current automatically (the PS3 did, but I'm not sure on the PS4) then this should be fine.

Bluray movie playback is a bit noisy. The drive seems to keep changing speed - byproduct of a CAV drive? Also sounds a bit 'gritty'.

Won't be using it for bluray watching unless they improve that



Edit: does the PS4 go into standby depending how long you hold the power button for? I just turned it off after testing bluray playback, and the orange light is on. (Normally I turn off from the controller)

Just touching the power button on the console puts it into standby mode. To turn it off completely you need to hold the power button for at least 7 seconds.

I had this problem, too. I tried puting my PS4 into DMZ and kept getting NAT type 3. So, I was digging around in my router's setup and noticed it's firmware was version 1.000. Checked online and found the latest available was 1.075 or something. Installed it and reset the router. Type 2.

alright thank you.
well i cant play pause with any key, and mya arrow keys work just as arrow keys.. means when i have the pop up menu on screen i can navigate with them and selct with ok, but when the movie is playing and nothing else, they do nothing.

the only way you will get type 1 is if you are plugged directly into your modem. type 2 just means that you are connect to a router. i believe type 3 is the only type that you should be concerned about/may cause issues. are you connecting via wifi or ethernet cable?

Yuck, Blacklight Retribution has very noticeable screen tearing. First PS4 game I've tried with that issue. Also, the framerate goes to absolute shit when you use the scanning thing that lets you see enemies through walls. I know it's just a beta, so hopefully these things will be fixed before it's officially launched.

Other than that the game seems pretty cool. There's no thread for it, right? I searched but could not find.

I don't know about the fan, but I can definitely hear a quiet humming/buzzing from my PS4 at all times when it's in standby, after the fan has stopped.

And....nothing. Even though the console is out for delivery, it hasn't arrived.

I'm pretty bloody pissed, not least because I bought Knack and NBA 2k14 thinking it would be here....

Blacklight didn't download anything in game for me, was all ready when I got home. I wonder if the in-game part does just crack on in standby.

I played NBA and Killzone the second the store finished the initial download.

Okay that settles it, after testing my PS4 in horizontal and vertical mode during the same section in Shadowfall it's much much quieter horizontal so I will keep it that way

Yeah, that's why I got it in the first place. Was planning on having a night with mates this weekend as the girlfriend and daughter were away for a few days, and that never ended up happening.

Ended up having to force myself through the single player (my god is it dull), although I did love the water in it. Dat river in the forest. Wow. Either way, multiplayer isn't gripping me and now my mate doesn't want it from me so onto ebay it goes!

The PS4 has vent holes (air intake, I believe) on the right/bottom side, so airflow will obviously be restricted if you stand it up vertically. It will not be completely blocked, since there's a "channel" running all the way across the PS4 on all sides, but it will be restricted compared to keeping it horizontal. That's why you need the vertical stand; it lifts the PS4 up a bit and has holes to let the air flow properly. If you don't have that, better keep your PS4 horizontal.

Ethernet cable. And I found that out about type one while doing some research. Though appreciate the info!

And my routers firmware is up to date :(.

Seems quite a few ppl are having this issue specifically with the ps4 (I didn't have this issue with 360 & and ps3) and 1.51 fixed it for some so there's a small chance it may be an issue with the os?

EDIT: I will add that AC4 tells me my NAT is open. Everything else says Type 3, or restrictive.

I just got my first triple beep from my PS4 as it was shutting down. I suppose this signifies the same thing as on the PS3, that the console couldn't shut down properly? This was with Blacklight Retribution still running in the background, so I guess that game isn't completely stable. Oh well, it is in beta.

Thanks, I was aware of that though after reading various posts on Reddit claiming that they have it vertically without a stand without issues so I thought I would try it atleast :/

So.

While playing Blacklight online just, I get kicked out of PSN saying my account has been signed in on another PS4.

I signed back in. Same thing happened again. It's happened about 5 times in the last 10 mins and now all my game licenses have been revoked and if I try to reactivate my PS4 as main playstation it gives an error.

Seems my password has been changed too.

This happening to anyone else???

Anyone know if there is any way to have audio coming out of the PS4 that can go into the headset and still come out of the tv?

I know of 360 a lot of the headsets came with those cables that sat between the audio ones going to the TV so that you could then have the sound coming out of both without issue, but I can't seem to figure out how that could be done on the PS4. I only ask because my friends gf, and mine, both sit and watch us play games and I imagine would like to hear what is going on while we do.

11cm with the DS4s docked, but you'd want another 1cm minimum to be able to get your DS4 off
