i had the same issue, going into the menu on the tv and exiting back out would fix it. but it happened everytime the screen changed on the ps4 (so if i died in bf4 online, etc...)

updating my tvs firmware fixed it, which i thought was really weird as ive been playing since launch with 0 issues so far, and my tv is really new as is. hopefully it doesnt come back

Im getting a ps4 now and since im getting two games with it, i wont have any cash left for ps+.

It probably has some combination of hardware authentication + cached credentials on primary consoles.. You'll need to put in the new password when it expires.

Does anyone here have the Turtle Beach PX4? I can't seem the chat to work. I plugged in the 2.5mm end of the cable into my headset and the 3.5mm into the headset, but it still doesn't work. In partychat it shows up that I don't have a mic plugged in, but when I really push in the 3.5mm plug into the controller (with quite a bit of force) it does show that my mic is plugged it, but it still doesn't work. Also, the moment I stop pushing the cable in it stops detecting it again.

Anyone know how to fix this?

Sounds like it might not be compatible. The jack has different grooves sometimes and won't work with all devices. I found this out when I bought a cheap Galaxy Apollo for a backup phone and my iPhone headset didn't work.

EDIT: Fucking double post and I see this being marketed as a PS4 headset, so not sure now. Hmm.

If it's setup exactly as in the users guide below, sounds like it might be DOA since it kind of works when you ram it.

The Turtle Beach page says that it's PS4 compatible out of the box. :/

Really want to like NFS: Rivals but I just wish it was bit more free so I could just drive around without constant cops or racers like Most Wanted (2012)

Anyone remember that the XMen First Class Blu-ray had issues playing on a ps3? I couldn't get it to work on my ps4 either. Of the 3 BD players hooked up to my TV, (ps3, ps4, xb1) only the Xbox would play it. I prefer the BD implementation on the PlayStation, so luckily everything else I've tried plays fine on ps4.

Pretty sure the microphone input of my controller is fucked. Even when I plug in the shitty mic that you got with the console it rarely recognizes it.

I got a second PS4 and just noticed that and not on my launch edition, I'm sure i just was not paying attention.

Wow, what a difference the PS Store is on the PS4. I just went back to the PS3 for the first time and the Store is painful on it. I love how quick you can get in and out of the Store on PS4 too, just like everything really.

Try and see, I'm guessing that limited will appear lighter.
Though if your TV supports full color range then set it in your picture/game-mode options (it might be named something else), and try full range on the ps4.
Using full range on a limited range TV results in black crush as low-gamma details are completely lost.

Seem to be having a weird problem and I think it may be down to my TV. I can run Fifa and War Thunder fine on my PS4 but when I try to play Battlefield or Resogun no picture is displaying. I can hear sound and even the sound of moving through the game menus, but nothing else.

I've tried changing the display settings from automatic to 720p but that didn't help. My TV is an 8 year old Samsung LCD. Does this sound like a TV problem or, gulp, a PS4 problem?

Edit: Just restarted it (duh) and it seems to work now. Should I be worried though?

Storage capacities on the boxes are all marketing bullshit, and that "500 GB" is because manufacturers like to pretend 1 GB is 1,000,000 bytes, while the machine knows 1 GB is actually 1,048,576 bytes, resulting in usable space that is always less than the marketing number on the side of the box. You really start with 476 GB of "real" storage after the drive is formatted. The rest of the space is taken up by OS, and preinstalled stuff like Playroom.

Try a different controller if you can.

Yes it happens to me. I thought it was my shitty TV though because my PS3 does it sometimes too.

quick question, if you don't have a mic/headset plugged in, can you hear in-game voice chat through the TV? I'm playing battlefield 4 and i see the speaker mics moving but I don't hear them talking.

Console's been on standby for a couple of days as I've been really busy with work, turn it on tonight and the BF4 China Rising expansion was already downloaded and installed.

I fucking love this machine.

Well I gave up holding out till Xmas, opened my gamer pack today. Played some Killzone which was stunning and I enjoyed. Then some resogun before my young nephew insisted I download fifa demo and play it. I love it, no complaints from me so far and wow did I laugh when the controller spoke to me, was well warned but still jumped out my skin. I think this will be like my ps1 and ps2 when I had such fun. Really looking forward to the next 5 years or so.

My wife started complaining yesterday that i play too much, i didn't play much yesterday because of that and cause i was fucking tired from going to bed at 2am after playing for like 6 hours lol. I wish i had more tiem to play. I have six games not counting digital stuff and at first i thought it' d be too much but i like playing every game and i've been alternating them everyday.

how does the twitch streaming currently work? it doesn't save your streams to your twitch account so they can be viewed later? are they going to be adding that functionality?

Why am I having so much trouble downloading the 1.51 update? It'll download until an error comes up and then I have to restart it, I've been doing this for 4 hours now.

Has party audio chat worked for you guys? It hasn't worked for me and a few of my friends all day. I get a invite, accept it, and then it just spins around trying to connect. Sony fix this please. :(
