Just had a thought, is it possible to play ps4 in another room ala ps vita on a laptop - watching the steam ?
I know lag will prop be a deal breaker.. but it should be possible right? as long as you can keep your ds4 connected I suppose.

Has party audio chat worked for you guys? It hasn't worked for me and a few of my friends all day. I get a invite, accept it, and then it just spins around trying to connect. Sony fix this please.
It worked for me yesterday playing Killzone with some GAFfers. And they were West Coast GAF, I'm across the Pacific Ocean in Japan. No lag issues at all!

I'm not the source for the rumor. I was reading another forum the other day and some guy said he knows a person in the industry(who doesn't work for Sony, so take it with a grain of salt) was saying sometime around the 15th a new firmware update is supposed to be released that adds Bluetooth chat support. I'll find the link to it.

How come I can't download a video and can only stream it from the store? I paid $10 for Day of the Doctor in HD but it won't download. Only stream. However, my connection is not always good so have the time I get a blurry picture. I paid $10 for HD not fuzz!

So I have a PS4 and this TV: LG 50pg30
it's a 4 year old 1080p plasma... My question is this.. RGB full or limited?
I did some testing on RGB full, and if I set the black level to "high", and increase the brightness, I can see the darkest black squares on a calibration image I got off the internet.. so is that good enough to say it accepts RGB full properly?

So i dropped my controller into a bowl of cereal.....
Was in shock for maybe 20 seconds.
Still works, just let it sit for a day, its a bit gummy though.
Buying a new one soon.. But damn i cant believe that thing floated in there for about 20 seconds and was fine.

New Lucky Charm, the Dualshock 4 (sorry about your controller, I had an ipod touch go through the wash.. it still works like new amazingly)
If your TV has an option for Black Level Low and High it most likely is the setting to control RGB Full or Limited. Full being High and Low being Limited. Yes the first two square's in the test are suppose to be dark like (BTB. Blacker Than Black you can't see them if your TV didn't support RGB Full even with the increase of brightness you wouldn't see the two square's.

Quick question, is anyone's PS4 getting hanged up going into the PlayStation store? This happens to me every single time. I click the store and it's just a blue screen. Nothing happens. I clicked the home button and go back in again.... Nothing. It's frustrating to say the least.
You might have had Sony reset your password for you - happened to a bunch of us on Vita a couple of weeks ago and I only noticed it as I couldn't get to the store.
FIFA hacking is doing the rounds again, hence the preemptive password resets.

I've got a Tritton AX 720 7.1 surround sound headphones. It works fine with the PS4 however the mic doesn't seem to work with it. Is there some sort of workaround? This is a USB based optical output headphones.

After owning the PS4 for a week I'm a bit startled to find out that the Playstation Camera has been picking up my voice whilst playing Battlefield 4 online without my knowledge.
This needs to be made more apparent, the amount of times I have cursed after a kill or had conversations with the family whilst playing. So embarrassing!
Its a wonder I haven't been banned for using profanity, what can I say, I'm a passionate gamer and the adrenaline was flowing :/

Yesterday at, almost midnight, I started my Killzone Shadow Fall download. Then, I put my PS4 in standby... Now, midday, I woke up and then when I looked at my PS4 the orange light was blinkning (kind smoothly by the way).
A bit concerned, I turned the console on... the boot was made normally and Killzone Shadow Fall completed its download. So, no strange behavior.
Any clue what should mean the orange light blinking indicator?
I thought that maybe, the console coincidetally, has finished the download at the same time I look at it and than the light was indicating that it would go to a cold state (once, when its downloading, it is still "working").
I still need to understand all of these blinking lights indicators.

did you get any notification? probably that. but i wouldn't read too much into it. unless it's some blinking blue light.

Very good 720p TV or cheap 1080p TV, which to go with PS 4....or 27 inch monitor, I have a 25 inch now, would it be worth it?
Haven't gotten bored of my PS4 yet, there's just way too many games on PS3 I have to play before I let him sleep eternally in his box. I just started KH 1.5 ReMIX and just downloaded Dragon's Dogma so I have some games to knock out this holiday break before the next semester.

Yeah, I was concerned if it could be something I should worry, but when I turned the PS4 on, it was everything normal.
Maybe it was just an indication that the game finished to download, and the console would go to the cold state (it was still warm). My internet download at 1mb per second, it was downloaded 38gb in 12 hours, by the time downloads usually takes I think its possible that concidentally the download just finished when I looked at the console.
Im just not really sure... would like to see a confirmation about it.
I googled it, but cant find anything about those blinking lights (except for the blue and red light).

You definitely want something that's 1080p. Gotta take advantage of what your new console can do, stuff looks so clean and nice.
I was just wondering, I was very hyped launch day and weeks but now that PS4 is here its whatever, I havent actually over played it or anything like that, I think the line up of games is just not that omg must play it every day.
Thank god that will change, look around its BF,2K,AC,COD....the same games that dominated OCT on PS3.
PS4 crossgen gaming just makes it feel like PS3.5

I don't know, I'm having tons of fun with AC4 (haven't really played the old ones very much, so it feels pretty new to me), Resogun, Warframe and Blacklight Retribution. Have also been playing Contrast, which I don't think is as terrible as many have been saying. It's not a great game by any means, but certainly worth playing through since you get it for free on PS+. I'm also gonna give War Thunder another try (played it a bit on PC a while back, but never really got into it).
That's enough games to hold me over for quite some time, so I'm really happy with the launch.
EDIT: Wait, forgot about Flower, which I got for free since I have it on PS3. That's also something I'm gonna play through again, this time in glorious 1080p60. Love that game.

really hate that it isnt Blue when turned on, who decided on it being White? and stand by orange??
even Vita looks cool with the Blue led on all the time.

Yea the white LED looks terrible, I thought it was going to be blue when on, all the pictures showed it off like that, I hope Sony lets you change colors later but I doubt it because they're pretty much troubleshooting indicators.
I've still only played Shadow Fall. Almost finished my second play through. Have Resogun, Contrast, Assassin's Creed IV and NFS Rivals to go... Plus plenty more KZ MP. So no... I'm about 200+ hours away from getting bored.

Both Killzone and NBA2K14 crash to the dash with CE-30005-8, and 34878-0 errors respectively. I have nothing to play on my PS4 now, so yeah I'm bored with it.

How did it know to download it? Is it if you have a season pass, will the PS4 know this and automatically download and install the latest content from that pass once it's available on the store?
If that's the case than that's pretty awesome.

I have been turning it on occasionally due to loving the OS soo much... Became my main media app place and Resogun box
Of course I've also been playing my PS3 a lot since I have a huge back catalogue of amazing games that I can't ignore (I try to use the DS4 when necessary)
It is the Early stages of the console and a heavy drought is going to be upon us.... There might be some games along the way but of course they can't cater to everyone
I good idea is to also have other gaming platforms to play with in storage in order to survive the winter

Don't have PS+? You should, if only for the oh-so-awesome Resogun (or you could buy it separately I guess, but that would honestly be a bit stupid). Also, there's the F2P games (which you don't need PS+ to play online). Warframe is pretty awesome, and the other ones aren't bad either.

I get bored with every new gadget fairly quickly. That said, every time I pick up NFS, I lose 3/4 hours. Its all about the games now.

I just played Killzone Shadow Fall, and played yesterday Battlefield 4.
Those are my impressions:
-Killzone Shadow Fall and Battlefield 4 are both graphically amazing! KZ:SF is better in some aspects, and Battlefield 4 better in others, but gennerally speaking Killzone SF still looks better.
-Battlefield 4 campaing, from what I played, looks a lot more cinematographic! As a fan of Uncharted series that brought those kinds of feeling at PS3, I really enjoy this kind of scenes... pretty exciting for a campaing and a good reason to play it in my opinion. Killzone SF on the other side seemed a little bit confusing, and not so exciting to play. At this side, Battlefield 4 seems for the best one with no doubt.
-About the multiplayer, I believe it will depend on the mood. Killzone SF runs super smoothly, It can not be a true 60fps experience, but in my opinion it felt like it is. KZ:SF is also more straight forward then Battlefield 4, but its fun to play, I just need to learn not getting kicked so hard. Battlefield 4 in the other hand is... Battlefield. A huge map with lots of domination points with helicopters and airplanes, tanks, everything blowing up, etc.; just amazing! But BF4 is with a lot of problems nowadays with the game crashing in the middle of the match, problems to connect at servers, etc. In a general way, I prefer Battlefield 4 multiplayer but these technicals problems need to be solved soon... is already taking too long! =/

As an owner of both I agree very much with KZ:SF.. It probably wouldn't have been so bad had there been more fights placed along the way or even respawning enemies? When I get sidetracked and am working my way back to where I need to go I can easily go 5+ minutes without shooting my gun which is very... boring.

In case anyone missed it.
Maybe Tritton has some kind of adapter? I know TurtleBeach has made chat cables for headsets that were designed for Xbox 360 so that they could work with the PS4. Tritton might have something like that.

What's the chat with kz:s? I got to chapter 3 and quit out expecting it to have saved but it has put me all the wAy back to the beginning of chapter 2. The bit at te ridge before you wen have ammo. Very off putting. Can't be bothered playin it again.

It has an adaptor for the 360, however it played fine as is on the PS3 so I assumed it would be the case for the PS4 also.
