Seems to sync saves for me whenever I shove the console in standby. Usually a bunch of things in the upload notifications when I power the console back up.

EDIT: Damn double post. Just bought a blue DS4 as well. Seem to be sold out everywhere locally, but found a decent price online.

you can full screen it if you untick comments as you are setting up the stream. ios has an twitch app that shows comment. android doesn't. i was hoping that with the playstation app they would have found a way to show it on the vita or second screen device. guess it's not possible.
 
Having trouble signing into my US PSN account on the web. Hope it's just an intermittent issue on my end and Sony aren't onto UK/US account switching or anything like that.

I'm giving Sony more money purely because of this US thing. I'd only buy one game at a time otherwise.
 
Does anyone know if the PS4 is still able to turn itself on at a scheduled time when it's fully off, like the PS3 could? Obviously it'll happen as and when necessary in standby mode but I wondered if I were to turn it off and add something to the download queue it would still turn on at 02:00 and check for downloads.

Would be a nice option to have, for those that don't want to leave the console in standby all of the time. I don't like that yellow light.

Nope not yet. I was really hoping with the next generation Sony would update their store more than once a week, but that doesn't look like it's going to happen. So I guess we won't get it until next Tuesday but who even knows at this point.

You can do it on his account, just sign him out (hold down the PS button and the option is there, or with the power options on the PDM) and then when you highlight a setting that requires PSN it'll ask you to login.

Alternatively you could create a new user and login from there.
 
Was lucky to pre-order a Killzone bundle today at Amazon UK. How's their dispatch times been so far? mine says if i'm lucky I'll get it 17th.

Cheers for the info mate, i'll play around using the information you provided me and will get back to you with observed results. So to my understanding, even if you do not press the SHARE button at all when you start playing a game, the PS4 will still always be recording gameplay every 15 minutes, right? So it will start and automatically create new 15min clips for the entire time i am playing, until i actually press the SHARE button twice for videocapturing which will therefore not only save the previous 15 but also start a new recording from this very point until i stop it by pressing it again (or not and thus going to be recorded for a length of 15 minutes).

I think i got finally got it. I really think so this time

Okay, now that I've had a chance to play with it a little and while it's currently downloading resogun, Contrast and Warframe, I'll share some impressions.

Placement in cabinet - it's taken over the spot where my 360 was. A sign of things to come perhaps? For reference, my X1 is in the spot my PS3 was...

Controller - goddamn, this is a significant step up from the DS3. Nice snappy triggers and the sticks are pretty tight too, compared to the looser sticks and mushier triggers on the X1 controller. The lightbar is pretty damn bright, so much brighter than I expected, thank goodness I had some black tape to hand....

The UI - fantastic. It's simple and straight to the point. Nothing is hidden in various sub menus, everything is intuitive and doesn't require searching out an answer on the internet or becoming frustrated because you can't find anything.

The console - pretty damn slick and damn sexy too.

Overall, it's incredible so far. UI is straight to the point and doesn't rely on any gimmicks, the controller is a huge step up from the DS3 and dare I say it, rivals the 360 controller in terms of comfort and it's whisper quiet too so far.

Now the games, I probably won't have time to start Knack or NBA 2K14 tonight as I have a lot of work to do, but I'm hoping to get at least one session of Resogun in.
 
Facebook had imported my photo but its not updating to my current image. When I go through the selection via PSN to do so, it "sees" the new photo - asks me if I wish to import it to use as my profile photo, but when I check my profile - it's not updated.

Just wondering about replacements/repairs....

You see my girlfriend was just in GAME in the White Rose Centre in Leeds queuing to pay, and she overheard a conversation between the woman in front of her buying a PS4 for her kids, and the bloke behind the counter...

The woman was about to pay for a PS4 bundle and the sales assistant was explaining warranties with her, and then said something which peaked my girlfriends interest....
The sales assistant said that if you have a fault PS4 and have to return it to Sony, you have to PAY UPFRONT £500 as a deposit, pending analysis of the PS4, where IF its found the damage is not covered by warranty (i.e you caused it) then they keep the money, but IF its covered by warranty they refund the money to you, this is because sony are trying to avoid people ending up with two consoles,or getting free repairs for damaged consoles, and that this was a sony policy so it was nothing GAME could help with

Now if this was some sort of sales tactic to sell GAME's warranty it didn't work, as it put the woman off and she left without buying anything, and my girlfriend said she wasn't paying attention to the start of the conversation to hear if he started off from a point saying if they bought GAMEs warranty blah blah blah
A manger with a birth mark on his face was nearby and never corrected him

Whats more a guy behind My girlfriend overheard this and was saying to her that he was looking to buy one soon but after hearing that he won't bother he'll stick with his PS3 until sony sort their act out......

WTF that cannot be true can it? wish i'd been there to hear it first hand, but she was purchasing a present for me, so i was made to go in another shop

If the guy an Xbox fan boy trying to destroy sales? severely miss informed?

Can you tell me, how I get access on my DLCs with my PS4? I redeem them via the webinterface this morning but they dont show up in the Downloadhistory (where ever this is on PS4...).

When I try to access it via the webinterface, it says Missing page... The DLCs are the preorder bonis from Amazon Germany for Killzone 4... Does somebody know something about this?
 
So I recently bought a PS4 on impulse with the steadfast belief that PS4 will have a much better pipeline of games in the coming years. Right now, though, I'm struggling to think of games I want at launch. I'm 100% certain I'll be purchasing NBA 2K14. I'm not hugely into FPS games, but I would like a competent graphical showcase with a strong multiplayer component. Does Killzone: SF fit the bill, or should I pursue Battlefield 4 instead? I also absolutely adored Super Stardust HD, so I'm surmising that Resogun will occupy a good chunk of my time as well.

I'm open to any suggestions!

Sounds like misinformation, remember there will be christmas staff this time of year.
 
I had a faulty disc drive and instead of dealing with the retailer I called Sony UK direct. Next day they sent me a replacement machine. DPD delivered it and took away the broken machine at the same time. No deposit or anything. Fantastic service

If you are not interested in FPS. No point getting either . There are plenty of games on it. Have you checked the F2P games? Also, what type of games do you like?

Thats bullshit. I'm in the UK, had my dead unit replaced by Sony at no cost. They sent a courier round and I swapped the broken one for a working one.

I'm not too familiar with the law in the UK. But in Germany and I'm fairly certain the EU with GB being a part of it, this kind of practice would be illegal.

haha, was a bit confused.

As for what they do if you try to pull a fast one on them, they warned me that the new console would be banned from psn if they found anything dodgy with the broken one.

ACIV and rivals are both supposed to be good fun. Really depends what type of game you like better. Do you want a racing game or an adventure game?
 
When I click on PSN store in the app it launches the store in Safari and I'm able to purchase from there. I've done it with Flower and got home to find it installed and ready to play. It's not Flash based.

Well, my PS4 hasn't been delivered yet (coming next week) and I'm out of the country on an exchange program until the following week, so I haven't gotten the chance to check out the F2P games. To be honest, I haven't much kept up with the new consoles and hardly know what the F2P games are!

I'm a big fan of action/combat games, third-person shooters, and platformers, but I'm really open to a wide breadth of genres. I haven't played an FPS game in years, so I'm open to the prospect as long as it offers a relatively new type of experience. I had all three consoles last gen, but sort of stopped playing them in 2010 save for a couple of blockbuster games in between. I also never played a Killzone game, and from what I gather its shooting mechanics are intriguingly heterodox in the genre.

I just got my PS4 replaced today.

It was shockingly simple and easy, called them on monday and got it today on thursday. They just troubleshooted on the phone but instantly gave me a new PS4 straight away without asking anything but the serial number on the PS4. I got it today from a courier and we did a straight swap with him putting the PS4 into a case which I assume is to be shipped back to sony.

So yeah, this is bullshit.

I remember saying I didn't care about an option because the light isn't distracting, but if turning the light off can at least make it last a day without needing a charge, I desperately want the option.

i want both but well... money is not infinite :( so do you think nfs has more replay value? i like racers and adventure games a lot
