PS4 official European waiting thread - come here and wait with us!

I had to distract myself so I went to a football game. We won but -2° is really not the ideal temperature for beer under the skies. Anything new from Amazon Germany - are there at least other people getting updates on their orders? Mine still looks like the PS4 ships in a few weeks not in 2 days.

Nope, on the PS3 the firmware files were universal. It looks like they are on the PS4 as well (as expected), since the ones linked to on the US site and Australian site are identical files (MD5 hash ed49d42a08a0927f0692a2372d9e9e6e). The UK Community Manager (Chris Owen) who said they were different for different regions is just on drugs I think.

yeha man i can't take it anymore. To top shit off i wasn't home when the dhl guy tried to bring battlefield now he brought it to the post office but didm´t leave a pickup card. Now i have to wait for said card before i can get it - but i can´t get it on friday because i have to wait for the ps4. Fucking shit… the same for killzone :( I don´t want to be stuck with a ps4 and only ass creed until monday
 
Has anyone's Gamer pack from Amazon UK started to shift? Mine still says 'Not Yet Dispatched'. From the looks of it they are doing them bundle by bundle. Mega pack then action pack etc.

Well still processing here (Shopto) should be dispatched tomorrow and hopefully DPD aren't bogged down too much to get it to me the next day....why these places have a mainland delivery guarantee policy only usually -_-

They usually use DPD for large packages. They are ok and give you an hourly slot.

Thankfully, in my experiences they have started using City-Link and Yodel a lot less lately.

Shit, I'll be at home all day friday, but if they try to deliver Killzone tomorrow I'll have the same problem :(
Well, it's not actually a problem.. I'll just play AC and the PS+ games.

In other news, my wife ordered Killzone: Shadowfall for me (my only retail launch title, thanks to Ubisoft delaying What_Dogs ~_~) as an early birthday present, because the store I'm buying my console from is still charging retail price.

THE EXCITEMENT CANNOT BE CONTAINED!

For me it will be Knack.

Reason - A friend is attending the midnight launch with me and we want to play something with co-op. We both love games like Ratchet & Clank and Crash Bandicoot so it seems like a decent fit.

The headphones I ordered 3 hours ago have been dispatched lol.
 
11th June order placed with Amazon UK, still just a delivery estimate of 29 Nov. Saw my first PS4 game in action today in GAME and was blown away, I hope I haven't taken Friday off in vain :(

Killzone. I want to play a proper next-gen game as my first experience on the PS4. AC4 will probably be after I'm done with Killzone as I need my AC fix.
 
I just cancelled my Gamer Pack at Amazon, I'm keeping the solus order instead. Both were ordered in November so wouldn't make launch anyway!
The Gamer Pack is very good value but I'm not that interested in Killzone, I don't need the camera and I would prefer a coloured pad rather than the black one.

I also like plain console boxes rather than game themed ones :D

I'm still not sure. I think either KZ: SF or FIFA 14.
 
Quit smoking a week ago to "celebrate" next gen and cut down costs. Now I want to karate chop my desk in half because the PS4 didn't move anywhere during the day. The craving + waiting for greatness feels so bad, man.

Looks like it will be assassins creed but i would prefer killzone too. I don´t feel like some ubisoft game should be my start into the next gen
 
I returned to my nerd roots today and made a list of games that I'm interested in. It was so awesome. Just two more days and I'm already geeking out a bit.

Won't get any games at launch. Will wait until they're more reasonably priced. So Flower, Sound Shapes, Escape Plan, Contrast, Resogun, Warframe and Blacklight: Retribution will have to make due. Just listing those makes me feel kind of giddy. Never has so much gaming been available without having to buy anything other than a console.

Two more days.

I get what you mean. I'm happy with Knack because, to me at least, it looks visually impressive and has that Pixar look and it was the first game shown on PS4 back in February and obviously directed by the lead architect of the system so it seems fitting.
 
Looks like my PS4 isn't in the first wave of PS4's being released by Gamestop in Ireland. Apparently I should get it before xmas though....

The unbearable wait just become even more unbearable..
