There's a bubble machine spraying out the PS Symbols in Liverpool

Going to order my EVO 840 500GB SSD tomorrow ready for the weekend.

Also toying with going into town on the Thursday night with my camera to get some pics.

Just checking, everyone's amazon orders are still "Not yet dispatched right"?

Picked this up today, we are so close I can almost see it.
Nothing will change on Amazon until Thursday. Late Wednesday at the very earliest.

Ok, so now I'm confused with all the update types - recovery and 'normal'.

What would I need if I'm replacing the HDD? Or rather, would I need any specific one if I decide to setup my PS4 first (as in plug it in, download all updates, and sign in etc) AND THEN replace HDD?

Conversely, would it be better to replace it straight away/out of the box?

Cheers

I wouldn't mind clarification on this too tbh. Atm i have the update file on a memory stick as the US instruction stated. But i did download the recovery file too but not sure if i need it?

Going to relegate my 360 to the slot of doom in my desk this week ready for the PS4! The PS4 gets the nice open and airy top of the desk!

For replacing the HDD you need the recovery one - much larger than the normal update. You still need it if you set it up first, because you're removing the HDD that has the setup on it..

I haven't got a order dispatched email from game yet.

I'm getting worried :( going on the my orders bit of the website now shows a new order that says "Cancelled" my PS4 preorder status is still unshipped though :(

Just pre-ordered BF4 from GAME (I had credit to use up). Hopefully it arrives in-time for my PS4 from Amazon, so excited now!

Have Sony said how much digital first party games are going to be? Xbox One first party games are £45 digitally which is a decent prices, cheaper than retail in fact. I have a feeling Killzone is going to be £60 or sormthjng ridiculous :(

I'm going to wait until around this time next year. I'm sure my 500gb stock drive will be full by then and hopefully there will be one/all of 1.5tb-2tb SSHD's/7200s compatible with the PS4 by then.

I always seem to go back to needing a 1.5tb minimum over the life of the console. Just seems to be the sticking point for me.

I had ordered two stand-alone PS4s for my wife and I (buying all digital this gen) from Amazon on the 23rd October which is supposed be guaranteed delivery before Xmas. I just got an email today from Amazon saying they still don't have an ETA for me and they apologised. I don't know if this means I might not get it before Xmas now.. might have to live chat with them. GRRR. All it said was they won't charge until just before dispatch but can't tell me when that is although I can cancel if I feel it won't come soon enough! lol.

Lucky I have one PS4 for guaranteed launch from ASDA but was hoping to play some BF4 with the wife. Looks like we will have to take turns for awhile..
