So I ordered the charging station direct to my local GAME for when I go pick up FIFA and BF4, I assume I need some sort of ID to prove that it's me?
how did you do that? I didn't think the game website had an in-store pickup option? Otherwise I'd do that to get the web prices
Honestly, they should dispatch them on Wednesday instead of Thursday. I mean it's not like its global launch, over 1 million people have it already and even thousands in the EU.
They are cutting it a bit fine for the amount of pre-orders they surely have. Not like Sony will punish them for it.

- Can, take the 14 days trial, get the freebies for Vita/PS4, loose the license for couples of month, retake a yearly subscription and get back the licence from the freebies I took month ago ? (or maybe the 14 days trial doesn't let you get the freebies ?)

It asked me when I was ready to order the item if I wanted it direct to my local shop! I assumed it was for everyone lol.
If its like the 3 month one I just redeemed then yes it will work with ex-PS plus accounts. BTW, if you sign up to Nowtv on their 30 day trial (don't forget to uncheck auto renew) they will send you 3 months playstation plus for free. Im currently rocking that! it took around a week to get to my house.
This is truly next-gen for me.

Popped into GAME to prepay & pick up my XBone starter pack, got my 1st real hands on with the DS4, what everyone's being saying about the improvements is true, felt really nice & comfortable, good weight, sexy triggers etc.

Absolutely, some of the pricing on the store is horrendous. I wasn't planning to go all digital but seeing your example of the potential money to be saved, that's a fair chunk. That's a Playstation 5 mega bundle with 5-6 extra games.

I've tried so hard to do this. I still don't know what the startup screen looks like.
But I was in game and the controller was free...so I tried it.
Originally I hadn't wanted to touch it till it came out of the box so it was more special but the temptation was too strong. The end result is, I like it. Very much actually. My only problems are that I know I'll be instinctively reaching for start/select in the first week or so. Also, the analog sticks, the actual head of the stick is smaller than I'd like and the texture seemed too soft: easy to wear out or damage in other words.

I would be the same, no way I would be able to not play it if it was in the house. Plus better check it works, nothing will spoil a family Christmas more than a bricked PS4 (well maybe no more room at the inn)

I'm sorry to hear that guys, but glad you managed to find some escape with games. Reminds me of Polygon's McElroy brothers who talked recently on a podcast about how them, their other brother and dad got a 360 and played a lot of Oblivion together the month their mum died, and it's arguably the experience that pushed them into getting into the industry.
My sadness is trivial in comparison but I can relate to this guy:
My ex-gf broke off contact a few years ago (she didn't break up with me, she just disappeared) so I took a break from gaming (except Vita launch) and found solace in Persian literature and poetry. Managed to find myself a whole new hobby out of the heartbreak! Then many months later, still quite hurt from it all, I dove back into gaming like never before and that wave is still going strong a year later, which includes joining GAF of course.
I was passionate about games before but I admit that in the last year I've invested a lot more extra passion into my hobbies because I find it comforting to devote my energy towards something that I know will return me happiness and also improve me as well (especially the literature, but also the critical thinking about games).
And this experience has given me so much inspiration and creative energy to write my own ideas for stories and characters that I will either turn into a game or book.

When I first got the tweet from GAME that announced they would take pre payments I'm sure it said something like "if you put a pre-payment down in the days before launch you have the chance to win a place in an exclusive fast-track queue."
Unless that's just something I've misinterpreted, which i suspect, because I asked a guy in GAME about it briefly early in November and he sadi everyone who does it gets put in the short queue.

That must be a different offer. I signed up on the 7th of this month. Might be worth downloading the app on the PS3 and see if the offer is still there. Thats where I originally saw it.
