PS4 official European waiting thread - come here and wait with us!

So uhm, I sort of want a PS4 on launch day. I was getting one like half a year after release, but missing out on PS+ games and the rising hype level made me decide otherwise. I'm in the Netherlands, does anyone know of any retailer chains (preferably Limburg area) that have a batch of PS4s reserved for walk-ins on release day? No, I didn't pre-order and yes I'm stupid.

Probably gonna be the first time since PS2 that I'm not getting a new PS device at launch... And I thought I would be OK with that :(

My Shopto order is processing, great news if I wasnt giving it to my brothers girlfriend as his Christmas present. Its going to be taunting me untill mine comes on friday from amazon.

It isn't guaranteed. I ordered early enough to be eligible for a delivery on release day (which is still unknown, but before christmas), BUT!
Amazon customer support isn't sure whether the gift cards I used moved me to the back of the list. That would mean I get it in January, maybe February.
Until then, I have a PS4 either way.
 
Cancelled the Amazon.de mega bundle. Got the PS4 + Killzone bundle somehwere else and it is being prepared for delivery as we speak.

Can't wait!
 
Does the starter kit at GAME include official Sony accessories? It says it has a vertical stand and dualshock charging station plus a headset for £25 if you buy at the same time as the console. If those are the official accessories, then it is a decent saving over my current amazon preorders. But then again they could be crappy GAMEware accessories

Me. None of my other games, the vertical stand or the console itself have begun to dispatch.

In other news my two boxes of Snyder's Pretzel Pieces (Hot Buffalo Wing & Jalapeno flavours) have shipped from Amazon. So, woo, I guess.

I went into Game and got one of their leaflets, £25 for that sounds like the Game's Gameware accessories, the official charge station alone in Game was £30.

Edit: Yes it is Game's own accessories.

It's most likely GAMEware. They had a bundle up on the site with it at some point.

Don't know about shipping.
But you have to look for "PS4 1e levering" or "PS4 killzone bundel".
It's probably a fuck up, because they were meant for people who made a reservation on the site. But as you didn't have to pay up front, I guess it's first come first serve.
I ordered one today, paid with visa, and got a confirmation specifically mentioning day 1 delivery.

The Jalapeno ones are awesome! The Buffalo wings one were an impulse as the prospect of a decent hot wing flavoured version was too good to pass up!

If they're anywhere near as good as the Jalapeno ones are they'll be fantastic :)
 
Hmm seems people are getting ShopTo e-mails saying the order HAS been dispatched, my e-mail says it WILL be dispatched on thursday.

Well as long as I get it on launch, can't complain.

For the people who have their DPD tracking number, is it live on their site for anyone yet?
F5ing it regularly, no luck so far, ha ha.
 
I will buy my PS4 at Gamestop, with ACIV, Killzone, Battlefield 4 and NFS Rivals.

I also take the Playstation Camera, FIFA 14, Knack and another DS4, from Amazon!

I just found the pages you referred to, but it says "this article is only for the pre-orderers that have already received confirmation they're part of the day 1 patch. Doesn't show an order button for either one either. So it does seem to be a fuck up :(

That's very good news. I would hate Sony forever over such a dick move. Well, not really.. but it would be an assholish thing to do.

Message on the site saying ALL orders will be dispatched on Thursday.

Tracking won't go live till they have been scanned by DPD.

Guess they have multiple email templates and are choosing the wrong one at times

2 more work days to go, this week is dragging......

Yours actually says thursday? mine says despatched with next day delivery and is on its way to you
and no my tracking number don't exist on DPD's tracking system yet, won't till thursday midnight.
 
I have a question regarding replacing the PS3 HDD with the one that came with my PS4.

Will that drive work in the PS3?

Also, what is the fastest method to move all save game data from the PS3 drive to a USB stick? Do I have to pick each game and transfer the save manually through the UI?
 
Just got my email through from the banned site.

"Your order has been packed and will be dispatched via DPD on Thursday 28th November for delivery on Friday 29th November (UK mainland only, delivery to other locations may vary)."
 
Just back from GAME. All paid off! £530 of items for £150 after bundle discount and gift card from trade ins across the year. Very nice methinks!

In the end, I decided to go for Battlefield 4 and AC4.

BF4... well, I know I would probably regret it if I didn't get it. The decision between AC4 and NFS: Rivals was literally decided by tossing a coin in the air.
