PS4 Pro boxes getting prepped

Will these be readily available in stores? I have one pre-ordered from Amazon but am thinking about picking one up from Best Buy on my lunch break on launch day. Should there be an issue with getting one?

You should be fine. Think of this more as a console refresh as opposed to a full launch. No one is lining out outside of stores for this thing on or before launch and Sony isn't expecting one.

Why do I get the feeling we're about to be overloaded with Pro info and converage?

Fuck yes.

I'm more waiting for the tear downs and comparisons of the SATA III. See if it has notable improvements with just the stock drive in the new pipeline, so I can avoid buying a new HDD for now as well.

I want one cause psvr, was initially going to skip the pro, but i just can´t bring myself to pay more for the pro here than i did for my launch ps4.

Hate waiting but that seems to be in the cards for me atm. :/

Please do remember to quote your big ass Pro pictures for a more friendlier viewing in the upcoming days. Our eyes thank you.

Yeah i feel little nuggets of info like this will keep me happy until the 10th.

I can't imagine there will be a problem. I had a preorder, but decided to wait until Black Friday to see if there will be any extra games/PSN card bundled with a pro.

I couldn't care any less about IGN getting a Pro.

Get Digital Foundry one and give us all the details for us 1080p and PSVR owners!!!

I'm honestly not sure IGN employs people tech savvy enough to understand things like 4k checkerboarding and HDR.

Looking forward to coverage from places like Digital Foundry for the real info.

You don't want to know which games'll get supported, how they look, what the improvements are gonna be? Just the SATA 3? Gitouttaheeee

I already know which games are supported. You know, PlayStation Meeting 2016 happened.

And I'll judge how games are improved on my own 4K HDR TV myself.

Man that sucks .. would have been nice if there was one bundled in the box. At least they're throwing a "PREMIUM" cable in there and not asking us to buy one :P

We *KNOW* which existing games will get visual improvements, we also KNOW that all games going forward will have Pro mode support in them.

We don't know what kind of real-world improvements the SATA III pipeline will have, as the OG PS4 was also not fully utilizing the Sata II, it was actually running the data through USB.

So yeah,a lot of people are a lot more interested in what we don't know for fact yet. Nothing wrong with it mannn !

The Meeting wasn't intended to be a definitive overview of the supported games. That info is still to come.

But hey, to each their own! :)

Weelllllll for a lot of games it's still unclear what form the support will take, if additional legacy titles will receive support and when, whether the framerate will be affected, etc.!

I gotta admit I'm in the same boat :/ Noise the thing makes is another thing of great interest to me.

Yeah, that's a big one.

Digital Foundry is hopefully working on a tear down/ performance video right now. They did a really good one on 4k tvs overt the weekend. Really excited to see what the Pro brings to the table.

PSVR embargo was over a week before release right? Hopefully it's similar here. I want to know about speed improvements in the HDD department especially. Maybe how BF1 runs on it.
