I think it is more aggravated nervous tension that their console may not ship and get to them on the 10th because their shipping status have not changed to shipped or in cases like mine, not even preparing for shipment.
I only speak for myself when I say, it is nerve wracking not being sure it will ship on time to get to me on the 10th when I pay for service guaranteeing release date delivery.
I also want to lock in the highest trade-in value I can from a company, so I have a small window after the 10th for my current offer to expire.

That's fair. I think you will likely be able to get them. I do not believe that there is enough hunger out there for this console vs. say launch of a new generation console. There are many people who seem to not even be aware of this consoles existence. If this were say, Nintendo Switch, perhaps there might be concern about walk in availability.

I know the feeling, just factory reset and boxed up my PS4 ready for trading in tomorrow.
I had my notification from Game to say my pro will be ready to collect Thursday but any trade-ins must be done before as they aren't doing it on the day.
The next time I switch a console on it'll be to visual gloriousness. I might treat myself to TF2 or ROTTR, just not sure which. Then again Dishonoured 2 will be out as well. This really is an embarrassment of riches.

I was on the fence to sell it too, but it's so damn beautiful that I've decided to keep it. Sold hardware once ( Panasonic Q ) and it still haunts me.

You know, I just can't justify owning duplicate consoles. I've got basically every major console ever made, but one of each, you know?
It was one of those things where I figured it should be more important what I'm playing than what I'm playing it on..So I sold the 'duplicate' console even though I'm a big MGS fanboy.
It sucks but like Ammogeddon said, it'll be an embarrassment of riches Thursday so that'll help for sure

Well it worked with TLOUR (it has a pro mode) and with Super Meat Boy (no pro mode), so yes!
Also I can confirm that even if you don't have a 4K tv you can do 4K screenshots.

Depending on where you are, if you ordered Tom Amazon, you may be very close to a fulfillment center resulting in late dispatch for your order. It would take less time to get to you, so they ship it later. In some cases, they ship same day as release date if you are close enough.
I'm 45 minutes from a center. I think any distance taking less than an hour fits criteria for closer to release date dispatch.
Did you know that magnets eventually go bad?
Tried to put a game in my Panasonic Q for the first time in a few years... the magnet that holds the DVD in place... turned to dust. Vaporized.
Now I have to find the time to figure out how to repair it.

That's pretty hard to predict. I think they'd be available, but there are possible reasons for it to be sold out. Let's say they only make a limited number at first to gauge consumer desire, that might make things harder. This isn't a new gen console and the marketing on it has been extremely limited so I think right now that would play into the favor for walk in sales on launch and possibly going into the holidays.
If you want it now and can afford it or want to lock in a higher value for selling your system, the longer you wait, the lower the value you get for your console might get if you have one to sell. You may choose to get it now if those are your considerations.

Man at least your local gamestop *IS* doing a midnight launch. Mine isn't even doing that. I'll have to go in the morning of the 10th to get it

Alright mine hasn't shipped but here's my theory, the Amazon warehouse is 345.6 miles away from my house, if the average driver is traveling the speed limit they should reach my house in a day and half counting traffic, sleep, food breaks, bathroom breaks etc. the driver would have to leave in the next 3 hours 14 minutes to be on schedule, now if I get it on the 10th before noon, with my average internet speed I should be able to play games that evening, but if it doesn't arrive by the 10th it must arrive by the 11th right??? So if its here the 12rd I'll have 26 hours that day to download what needs to be downloaded to play games so in theory I need the amazon people to update my shipping information pls help.

Patch notes for the 1.5 update for the PC app stated that 1080p60 support was added back in September. Of course no one could test it then since no Pros were available.

Just bought PS4 Pro, first console I've had this gen (unless Wii U counts?) Otherwise, it'll be my first console since a launch day PS3. What should I expect? I'm pretty excited. Got a 4K TV with HDR, so I'm ready.
