PS4 Pro boxes getting prepped

So a regular PS4 is 16x more powerful than a PS3, and a PS4Pro is 2x more powerful than a PS4..so PS4Pro is 32x more powerful than a PS3 right? Dang.

Yikes. I'm chalking this up to poor PR from Sony. Outside of GAF and other game centric media outlets there is no buzz about this.

Probably last week. It seems like half of all OT titles are facetious.
he said his local GameStop. One store. Pro is selling well on Amazon, insiders from Best Buy confirmed strong preorders, and marketing is pretty much just ramping up this week, PSVR just came out.

I think it will sell fine, especially once people see stuff like Horizon running on 4K sets in every Best Buy and Walmart. You really don't need a huge marketing blitz to launch a super PS4.

Yep. And retail selllers will play their roll on the uninformed average consumer.

welp, caved and bought meself a 4k tv in anticipation for this.

Hasn't it been a consistent best seller on Amazon since announcement anyway? Its a ps4 at heart idk y ppl think it'll sell regular new system launch numbers

Can someone explain to me if this is right.

So my current PS4 is 500gig model but with a 2tb HDD in it. I am getting the 2tb backed up in an external 2tb hdd.

Before I trade in/sell the 500gig system, I'd have to put back the 500gig hdd and perform the same steps that I did after replacing the 500gig with 2tb right? Like having the proper FW version on a thumb drive?

Here's a stupid question for y'all. How does account migration work? Delete it off my og ps4 and just activate it in the pro? Just have to download all the games again? What about plus games?

In preparation, I traded in a launch ps4 controller with peeling thumb sticks (with covers applied), for the new ps4 controller so it will match my pro. Am I the only one this weird about consoles? Luckily GameStop gave me $30 for the old one, so $30 for the new controller isn't so bad. Loving it so far!

Just sold my PS4 for $350!

Is it better to wait to get the Pro near Christmas? Or on launch?

The launch doesn't seem to come with any game...

That's what I'm thinking.

I currently have a 55 inch 1080p set. Debating if I should get a 55 inch ks8000 or the 65 inch version.

I've always thought ~65" is the sweet spot...I dread the day my 67" Samsung LED DLP kicks the bucket lol...

But it will give me a reason to make the jump from 1080p to 4k...

You can backup the game via the backup option or you can redownload everything. It's the same for game saves as well, though there's the cloud option for that. In terms of your account just deactivate it from the system and your good to go.

The titles seem to be in a bad light imo, doesn't seem to be "laughing with you type stuff".

Exactly! I want the 65, it's just about 500 dollars more. In the long run that isn't a big deal because the size will be worth it I suppose.

I should be waiting to get a new TV, but the PS4 pro is tempting me

I have such a first world problem with this... I want it but I already own a PS4. Obvious thing to do would be sell/trade in towards it, but my current PS4 is the 20th anniversary edition.

So do I pick this up and box mine up/display it.. or just make do with the 1080p life.

Ah, the KS8500. An excellent choice. I stare at this TV all day at work and dream (I work at a large electronics retailer where I wear a blue shirt).

Did the same two weeks ago (55KS8500) and picked up a One S with Gears/Forza to hold me over. HDR gaming is the real deal. Can't wait for my Pro to get here!

yep, got the 65", was actually going for flat screen (KS9000 or KS8000) but neither of those were in stock so I went with the 8500 cuz it looked goddamn amazing on display XD

Thinking about buying a KS8000. (Same model just not curved.)

Any pros or cons by getting the normal flat one

No difference whatsoever other than one model being curved(8500) and the other not (8000)
