PS4 Pro |OT| Wake Up, Neo...
Yes.PS4 Pro [OT] Whoa
Sold my PS4 for 270€, and now I'm having the worst internal debate over whether or not to buy a Pro.
I feel like most of the games I've wanted to play this generation have been on PC. With PS3, there were SO MANY games (Ninja Gaidens, Metal Gears, Final Fantasies, WipEout...) that the decision was a no-brainer.
With the PS4, there were initially many such games (Metal Gear, DB Xenoverse, Nier Automata, Blade Arcus, Guilty Gear Xrd) but as we got closer to release (or even a year or two later), more and more formerly console-only games started getting PC releases.
So now I'm in a position where there are a bunch of PS4 games I'm most likely going to want to play (NiOh, Ace Combat 7, Samurai Warriors Sanada-Maru, FFXV, WipEout Remastered, Crash Bandicoot Remastered, Gran Turismo Sport, World of Final Fantasy, maybe Yakuza) but I can't shake the feeling that a bunch of those games that are third party (NiOh, AC7, SW, FFs) may get PC announcements further down the line which would give me a pretty heavy dosage of buyer's remorse. And there's the fact that I'm not even sure when many of these are even coming out (AC7, GTS, Crash, WipEout) and who knows if the Pro will have gotten minor revisions/price cuts/better bundles by then. Lack of UHD BD, visual design and the high power consumption don't help, even though I don't care THAT much.
So you might be wondering "Why not just wait then?", and the answer to that is "There are many games that I wanna play right now such as Xenoverse 2, and I don't know if I should be buying a Pro along with them, or to get them with PC". Because if the Pro turns out to be worth it, I'll have to double-dip on a ton of stuff.
Decisions, decisions... Whatch'all think?
Well, most of us are here because we really want to buy a Pro, so I'm not sure what you're looking for here.Sold my PS4 for 270, and now I'm having the worst internal debate over whether or not to buy a Pro.

Do you think the question is thread-worthy? I wasn't sure myself.
It really isn't, I just don't like being wasteful is all. You're thinking too much about it. If money is an issue, maybe wait. If not, just go for it.
Thanks!

No, but I'll just say that if you're looking to fully switch to PC, Pro isn't for you.Do you think the question is thread-worthy? I wasn't sure myself.
I want a pro but im not sure it's worth it for FFXV, since I only have a DVI screen monitor.
If money isn't an issue, go for it man. In February I'm gonna give my current PS4 to my friend and buy a Pro even though I don't see a single reason for upgrading. I'm just doing it to support Sony for letting me play TLG, Nier 2, GR 2, NiOh, Horizon and fucking Persona 5 in a span of 3 months. I know some of them may get delayed, but it's still aa awesome line up.It really isn't, I just don't like being wasteful is all.
Likewise.Less than a weeksrsly been missing my PS4.
Likewise.
I think it's been a month now. :'(

PS4 Pro |OT| A 4k in the Road
The content on your SSHD will be deleted when you'll use it in your pro. But it will work and most likely be faster.Guys quick question.
I have a 1TB in my stock PS4 right now. I want that 1TB SSHD to go into my Pro.
So, all I have to do is remove that 1TB SSHD in my stock PS4, put the old 500 GB back in, install the system file. Then reinitilize the stock PS4 to make it trade in worthy.
I don't have to ever delete the content on my 1TB SSHD right? I can just put it in the PS4 Pro?
In fact, probably a better question, but is my 1TB SSHD going to be even faster than the stock 1TB in the Pro?

If you can afford it, you should buy it and sell your old PS4. The games will run better on the Pro so you win.
beside Horizon Zero Dawn, any other game that come out in march that will benefit of the PRO?

Release the beastFrom one of the retailers here in Stockholm. The hype IS real!

If there's 3 PS4 Pros in each box. And I count 12 boxes per pallet and 64 pallets*. So 3*12*64 = 2304 PS4 Pros in that picture O_OFrom one of the retailers here in Stockholm. The hype IS real!![]()

PS4 Pro |OT| You realize you will see every game in 4k as your output right?
"Gets you closer to your game"
Considering the size, they aren't lying!
Now, if only Crash Bandicoot will make use of the extra power next year, I'm there!
