Reminds me of the digital foundry comparisons between the 360/PS3 era games and their PC counterparts running at 1080p like Crysis 3.

Let us not forget that Titanfall 2 really struggles with the resolution on PS4 and Xbone. From DF:
For much of the game, PS4 resolves at around 1000p, and Xbox One around 810-828p. Gaining absolutely accurate metrics is difficult owing to the temporal super-sampling anti-aliasing, which makes it very difficult to find the hard geometric edges essential for pixel-counting.
However, the Titanfall 2 beta dropped frames hard on both systems, so yes, resolution will drop below the beta's fixed framebuffer standard - we've seen PS4 drop to 720p in the most intense of scenes, while Xbox One will fare worse. We've yet to determine how low it drops - temporal reconstruction is really difficult to work with, but it can look bad. We've actually recorded edges that range from 480p upwards - however, Titanfall 2's post-process pipeline may be working with lower resolution alpha effects, reducing pixel count where transparencies intersect with geometric edges.
Pro obviously render things at resolution that is much higher than 1080p, which is a instant win for image quality, both on 4K and 1080p screens. I woud not expect that games that run at native 1080p on base PS4 will have this kind of really big IQ jump on the Pro.

I'd not seen supersampling in action this gen. I really didn't know what to expect.
I have a non-HDR 4K tv so this is pretty much what awaits me. Really, really great. Damn.

Honestly, every screenshot in the PC Sreenshot thread is supersampled, and those look freaking awesome.
That difference is bigger with a game like Titanfall 2 which uses dynamic resolution. It looks sub-1080p on regular PS4 in all of the comparison pics.

It is a really good game. Great singel player. Great mp.
I could not stop playing the sp. A-fucking -mazing SP. Gets better level after level. And some amazing game mechanics. Game is worth it if you don't even give a damn about a story.

Eh, maybe.
Keep in mind, this game runs at 60fps, rock solid.
Games with 1080p already on PS4 will even have a higher resolution.

THey are from a guy who has a PS4 Pro early. Its the real deal.
I hope now people understand what super sampling and higher resolutions can do.
I feel like they've been waiting on word of mouth to sell this thing. Only way I can make sense of how silent they were up until this week.

People, supersampling is amazing. You don't have to have 4k for facemelting visuals. Even at 1080p it's amazing.
