Sometimes they do that at UPS as a guaranteed delivery by ____, but it might update to out for delivery today later. I've had that happen. UPS explained they put out the latest possible date to cover themselves.

How the hell did they manage to make it worse?
Have a similar thing on my Sony Xperia, 5gz has shorter range but quicker than the 2.4gz which has larger range but slower. Does it detect with 2.4gz at all?

Wow thanks for that! Still annoyed that there are no changes since 10 am yesterday but if it manages to still be in my area later tonight then I can go pick it up tomorrow morning at the customer center.

Funny thing is that if you wait till the package is on the way to the final location before it gets sent off to your house or if it just barely arrived there, you can change it to pick up at the same location and it won't delay it a day. Has to be the same center though.
I bugged them yesterday and they gave me a one-time free of charge sameday shipping upgrade from standard shipping. That was nice of them considering the amount of money I spend on baby diapers with them.

I backed up to a USB3 drive last night. It started off saying 12 hours for 500GB but rapidly changed estimates and ended up taking maybe 2 and a half.

Nothing is deleted off the OG PS4 after the back up is it as I want the content to still be on that console too.

It will wipe the Drive in the PRO and make the PRO your primary console if on the Internet and if you do it by network rather than HDD backup.... I think. I'm sure someone will correct me if wrong.

God, I am happy right now.
Played the whole first level.
Old ps4 even went crazy in the main menu.
Everything stays normal noise wise, on the pro!

The only thing that Amazon did that annoyed me was that they chose to auto-apply credit I got from trading in my PS4 for the PRO before even sending in the old one yet.
1) I am not guaranteed that credit amount is what I get after that grade it, 2) I wanted to buy the console using my Discover card in full so I get 5% cash back on the purchase. Now I lose that cash back for the part they chose to use my credit to pay for the item.

Just to confirm to put my mind at ease, its just the same firmware from the site (but the larger one for new installs, no updates) yea?
Mine's still not been dispatched from Amazon U.K. But it's still on for tomorrow delivery. Then again I only love about 30 minutes from Amazon's Southampton depot so it probs won't do much till the small hours tomorrow.

That's bizarre, I ordered 20th October and it's out for delivery tomorrow with royal mail. Maybe it's just a provisional date change?

Not absolutely silent. Noise is on the level of installing a disc. You can hear it clearly when it's the only sound in the room.
But the hair dryer level of noise is completely gone.
But don't expect it to be super silent.
At least not when playing doom. Will test more games right now.
Next will be Infamous and Ratchet & Clank
Edit: There is also little fan noise when the ps4 is just turned on, being in home screen.

Yeah hopefully. It says it's with Amazon Logistics at the moment and I've not heard of them before.
I would be extra annoyed as I booked tomorrow off and have to work on Friday.

AMZL (Amazon Logistics LLC) are Amazon's own shipping group. They hire drivers for dispatch from their centers rather than use other courrier service for... reasons. Their tracking sucks, however, you can get Amazon Support to provide you an Amazon Logistics contact phone number to call them directly if ou have questions about your item.
I did that the other day and today. Even their own drivers don't like it when packages are delivered to them by AMZL when they order for themselves.
You can even apply to drive one of their trucks/vans for them if you like.
Excited! I miss having a PS4.
Excellent, already an improvement from the launch PS4's. Ratchet and Clank is something that will be thrilling to hear about, the game is darn near Pixar level of graphics in the normal PS4 mode.
