It's zero interest financing. Basically a free loan.@ people calling financing pro-consumer. If only you knew.
I am not saying it is a terrible option but it is zero interest financing that locks you into a subscription service. Amazon/BestBuy etc offer zero interest financing without the subscription. It's zero interest financing. Basically a free loan.

Play Games, Not Coupons should be the new Xbox slogan. Seems like most Xbox stories these days are about price, about saving money, about locking yourself into a subscription...So a store loan/credit card?
Gotcha.
Never seen so many people so excited about debt being promoted like this.
I just posted in another thread that MS needs to lean into All Access hard
Not true.

It is a fixed payment for 2 years at 0% APR. NO LATE FEES. There is no rate hike that incurs if you are late on payments or go past 2 years. I read all the fine print. It is probably the most consumer friendly loan I have ever seen.Read it again! 2 yrs %0 interest
Thinking Sony needs to do this to "beat" MS. I think that's going a bit too far and I like the idea of All Access. But the market leader by a big margin especially overseas where its gangbusters doesn't need All Access to win again. That's a bit far imo. To each their own.Making a consumer friendly pricing option in the midst of a global pandemic when people are out of work is going a bit too far?
They should also wait for MS to beat Sony. LOL.They should probably wait to see if it work out for MS before they say that Sony need to do it to beat them.

I mean it increases the price of the One S by like 150$ and makes you the victim of pradatory credit fees if you miss payments not sure whats consumer friendly about that...
People who don't have funds available to buy the console outright likely cannot qualify for program due to bad credit
Why do people keep thinking that price is the only thing that keeps customers attached to a certain ecosystem? Is a $100 savings really enough to make you leave behind potentially thousands of dollars in games you've purchased, the friends you've made, the trophies/ achievements, game saves, etc.
I've never been heavily involved in a specific ecosystem and then jumped ship to an entirely different one cause I could save $100-$200. It is such a insignificant amount for what you're sacrificing in the grand scheme of things.

Some of you are dense. Is there going to be a credit check and/or deposit required? People who don't have funds available to buy the console outright likely cannot qualify for program due to bad credit

It's the theme for this generation from MS. Take something that already exists, slap a pretty name on it and call it a day.So a store loan/credit card?
Gotcha.

There are a lot of 0% for 24 months store credit options out there? Which stores are running that?
This says "up to 50 installments with 0% interest rate". Nothing special, a lot of stores do that. Don't you have it?

You get Gamepass Ultimate for 2 years, a 360$ value.5X24 = $840 Compare to 500 if you buy it cash
Whats the % interest payment here ?
for the xbox series s $25 a month for 24 months = $600
cost of the unit = $300 , 300 extra and forced to pay $12.50 a month for gamepass - does this seem like a really great deal to you ?
xbox series x $35 a month for 24 months = $840
cost of the unit = $500, $340 extra and forced to pay $14.17 a month for gamepass - again how is this a great deal ?
