I'm very very tempted for that 9800X3D. It's been a while since I've had an AMD CPU.
Gonna wait a few days and see what the benchmarks are like what the motherboard situation is. (Are there going to be entire new mo-bo's for this chip or are the current mo-bo's simply going to get BIOS updates?)

PS5 pro, then waiting for 9900x3d for early next year. Not going back to 8 cores after using 12 on 5900x. Use it for work as well and having vm's running whilst doing other stuff is just so useful

I have a 7950x3D in my rig. I don't feel the need to update the 9000 series, but we'll see. Depending on how things go, I might build another rig next to my TV when the new generation of GPU drops.

I am on a 5600X, so need a new motherboard, new memory, the new processor, and maybe something extra for the AIO cooling (not sure how corsair handles this). I will wait for the RTX 5 series to show what it's got first. Maybe I'll upgrade that first.

If you're getting a 5090 I'd would gravitate more towards the 9800X3D. Your GPU will need all the CPU power it can get. Plus the resale value for the 7800X3D is at an all time high rn.

The PS5 Pro won't be going anywhere and will be readily available. When GTA VI drops, or a big console exclusive comes next year; pick one up for that.

I am super tempted to either get MBPro 16 M4 Max or Mac Mini M4 Pro with 64GB RAM. Do I need them since I already have M3 Pro MBPro? No, but performance jump is supposed to be massive.

So going to look at the benches, especially for AI side and for 9950x3d results and see which one I want.

PS5 Pro Top Salary Edition I will leave to others. PS5 Peasant is enough for a rare exclusive I would play. Might change my mind next year, but not right now.
