Canada Computers told me that they will have some on the 7th but I’m not sure if I’m buying this or the 9950X3D
I don't want to wait. Also, i dont think much of difference in performance its going to be. if gen to gen update is an avarage 10% uplift, I dont think from 9800x3d to 9950 x3d gonna be another 10% uplift lol.

IF i have to guess that will be more productivity plus gaming. and I don't work on my gaming rig.

would rather save the difference in money as i am sure its going to be 300$ plus.

Pro on order. Have a backlog waiting to smash through.

Got a 7600x with my 7900xt. Plenty of power for this generation. It’ll be parked for a while once the Pro arrives.

Real world gaming performance from a 7800X3D to a 9800X3D is pretty negligible.

After all the issues they had last time, I definitely wouldn't buy one at launch.

Whichever one is gonna make the call of duty campaign look prettiest.
But that won’t be until Black Friday or Xmas though.

Because for a PC gamer you continue to lag behind in specs.

Pro is also better than your build.
My build is over 4 years old bro! E-peen wars aside, my 3080 does me fine just fine still you just have to be clever about settings on the really new stuff. my CPU is a lot better than PS5 Pros too.

Only reason I'm not getting a pro now is I don't agree with the price and what you get plus I've got no games to play on it. My pile of shame is so large right now I'm not going to go back and play last of us again or ratchet.

I'd basically be buying it for ff7 and I've just bought metaphor so I'm in no rush. By the time I get to it ff7 will be on pc.

One ghosts drops I'll look to pick one up if the pro support is a huge jump from the standard ps5.

Aren't you usually in GPU-bound scenarios anyways with high res, high fidelity and ray tracing? Or do you target +144fps with that CPU?

If I had to choose I'd take the Pro instead of a single component like that CPU. If it was the Pro Vs RTX 4080 (or a new equivalent), however, I'd take the GPU because I mainly play on PC and that would increase performance far more in my scenarios.

Exactly so missing a CPU that blows away your CPU or a console that plays games better is a head scratcher?

But that's your prerogative.

I am waiting for 5080 and getting a new system based on 9800X3D next year.

My current system with Intel 14700 and 4070 Super is still way faster than a PS5 PRO (especially CPU) - so PS5 Pro is 100% useless for me

My next system will double the performance of PS5 Pro.. "Pro" indeed

Option C, keep using your pile of good enough gaming hardware till it either dies or a new game comes out, and invest money somewhere.

I don't need the CPU, the 5800x3d is an awesome cpu and you know this. And I doubt it plays them much better really. Pretty sure the 3080 is very similar to the pros GPU anyway. Why would I spend 700 quid on something that plays way less games than my pc does at the same level? Think about it

Two PS5 pros for the reception hall and one each for the boys. They enjoy playing them when they return from their autumn visit to the 3rd home. My youngest daughter needs a new pc for Minecraft so I'll probably get her a 9800x3d and 5090.

What's it like being a poor?

Better than being a rich tit I'd guess.

Then don’t post in the thread?! Easy solution
And let your obvious ego rub go unchecked? Nah. Easier solution is to just get your stuff and enjoy it. The amount of 'ok' style GIF replies in this thread tells me I'm not the only one who is largely sick of clever shit threads like this.

Personally i'm waiting on both until next year.

If you have a decent PC, which it seems like you already have. I don't see much use for the Pro right now and I'm going to do a full build next year if I can snag a 5090.

Had the Pro in a basket a few times but outside GT7 theres nothing right now that the PC won't do better. That I'm interested in at least.

I’m getting the Pro.

I already have a 7800X3D. I might grab a 9800X3D if/when Microcenter has a good deal on it. Might as well do it if I can get a good price on EBay for the 7800X3D

I’m hoping for a GT7 pc port next year but we’ll see…
