My turn:
Regarding the disc drive, this gen I've been mostly digital since it's also very convenient for using remote play, thing is, I still have physical copies of CP2077 D1 edition, Armored core 6 D1 edition and Nier Replicant.
Now, buying a drive would obviously cost more than just getting the digital editions/copies of those games but...I just can't be arsed to faff about with the usual FB marketplace hagglers, I just can't can't , and for what ? As to get 50€ at the very best ? plus, I also like the cardboard covers and extras that the D1 Editions provide, thing is, having a digital-only console seems...limiting/restrictive ?

Don't know, spending an extra 120€ for the drive for only 3 games seems silly right now but...

PS : like the idiot that I am, got the phantom liberty DLC which I still haven't started, meaning, I'll have to rebuy CB2077 digitally to be able to play it.

On the plus side, Cyberpunk is usually pretty cheap when it’s on sale. It’ll be interesting to see if boost mode improves the game any.

Just play what you have until the disc drives are available at retail price. They will be at some point soon.

Yeah definitely. I don't know how current chain works but its really dumb that the US has disc drives available basically everywhere and the EU hasn't yet. I know it's a week until launch but it's also compatible with the slim.

Really? From what I've seen ever since the DLC the game has been pretty expensive even when it goes on sale. Maybe just the base game is cheap but I usually look a the full package one. I want to replay it but I already played it on PC and don't want to spend to much just to rebuy it.

I saw something about eb Canada giving a bonus to Pro upgrades. I'm not sure if the rest of the world that has gamestop will do the same. FYI for anyone looking to trade this week to start looking into. Good luck all

When you factory reset it, It also unassigns it as your primary console so that's one thing, the other is to have your saves uploaded to the cloud and backup your screenshots to a USB drive, that, or backup your whole PS5 to another drive as to transfer everything back to your new console.
Pro-tip : if you decide to go the backup route, Don't transfer your installed games since it will take ages, it's better and faster to just redownload them on your new console (Always depending on your internet speeds obviously).

My Amazon (US) preorder still showing as arriving on 11/11.

I saw Best Buy still had preorders with release day pick up at my local store available, so I went ahead and placed an order there. Not the end of the world to not have it on the 7th, but would like to since I’ll be traveling the 12th-16th.

I’d prefer to keep the Amazon order since I had a couple hundred in credit from my Amazon Visa put toward it and earn 5% back on the balance payment using the card, so I’ll keep that open and just cancel it if it doesn’t update to arriving on the 7th by the 5th. If it updates, I’ll cancel the Best Buy order.

Just the whole call of duty app shambles. Then when I finally got to play my controller wouldn’t let me aim as it was set to mouse, changed that and got a hard crash midway through the level.

Night before I played xcloud on my steam deck and had no issues at all.

Had an hour to play and ended up playing for about 30 minutes. If I was on console I’d have played for an hour.

I feel you. I've been playing this shit on game pass PC and its fucking ridiculous that a multi billion dollar AAA IP works like this

Maybe it's just me since I've had a couple of glasses of vino but...you mean the console, right ? As in, it's not jet-levels of WhOooOOooShhhhh® noise like the PS4 Pro had, correct ?

Really hope that's the case 'cause it's always been a lottery with the noise levels on PS consoles due to different fans used, different coil whine etc etc

this is what i expected , some noticeable and some doesnt.
So some of these games that are not very noticeable, are they pro enhanced?
