Path tracing at 60fps would be nice but is probably asking too much.

PS6 will use TSMC N2P chips.
The question is will the GPU be chiplets that AMD is working on. I remember a patten by sony awhile back using a gpu with 4 chiplets, each chiplets renders 1/4 of the screen. Together they render the whole screen, 1080p x 4 = 4k.

They need to concentrate on overall system performance, not just the GPU … what use is a 4090 if they end up using some washed up zen 3 CPU?

Zen6 is an obvious choice for both imo. Anything diff than that will be disaster.

Zen 6 is expected in 2025, if the next xbox comes out in 2026, that make sense.

But the PS6 will be out holiday 2028, it will use a newer chip than Zen 6

Both next gens need to be 50 real tflops or 4090 to offer decent 4k upscaled with 60 fps.

That feels like a stretch to be realistic. Even for the Series X model.
