Psi-Ops, The Suffering = $14.99 @ ebgames.com

The Xbox versions for both of those games are the only ones that matter.

If I didn't procrastinate until last week (buying holiday gifts) I'd have enough $$$ to buy these for myself

Psi-Ops is actually better on the PS2--presentation quality is equal between the two, but the EA Big game style controls fit better to the PS2.

'course, it's still very playable on the Xbox.

So buy it, because you now have no excuse.

How come no one talks about the Suffering? I love the ability to toggle between 1st and 3rd person views.

Both games are easily worth double that, well psy ops especially.
Psy Op's is beyond insane I only played it on ps2.
It's a thing of beauty the controls just seemed to fit ps2 having the 4 trigger buttons.
I would get it on xbox but controls are more important to me than a minor upgrade in visuals.
If Xbox has great controls and looks a lot better I'd roll with that.
What's the scoop!

The Suffering. Great game, great story, great immersiveness. Buy it! It also features a documentary on a real life ghost prison in PA.

Psi Ops gave me the same feeling that playing Tony Hawk in 99 did.
Tony hawk revelotionized what you could do with the environment.
Psi Ops does it in a Pyscho Kinetic way!!!
You throw people like french rag dolls. They cry and scream and you have options, Do I want to cap him or throw him into that exploding barrel.
You can throw them into crematory ovens. It's like a no strings attached contra/socom/akira/thps physics/ragdoll physics weapon of mass destruction!!!
I was gonna buy this a while ago.

Psi ops was definately one of the best games i've played this year.
It's physics based gameplay even spoiled half life 2 for me, and actually felt much more open ended (there are places which allow you to stack up boxes to reach areas you're not supposed to reach until later, no invisible barriers here, generally. By combining telekinesis, pyrokinesis, mind control etc you can build an unlimited number of strategies to dispose of the enemies).
A 10 in game mechanics for me; with better artists, better characters and storytelling psi ops would have been a masterpiece. I wish they had better artists working on it, turning it into some kind of Akira, or something similar to one of those ESP based anime or whatever.
A great game which was largely underestimated because of its generic western 3rd person shooter look.

FFS... Game (Who bought out EB over here IIRC) still has Psi-Ops at €59.99. It's only €10 cheaper pre-owned!

I want to buy the game, but prices in Europe are so damn fucked up.

Midway execs on looking at Psi-Ops and The Suffering sales:

"Fine! Fuck trying."

I'd understand that view, but god I hope they carry on, people will notice the quality eventually if they just keep with it.

I agree with everyone about how good psi ops is, too bad it doesnt get the wow factor from game rankings review sites, its at 84, which is good, but some games do far better that I scratch my head like burnout 3, prince of persia, these games make me scratch my head for getting scores in the 90's. Thats what opinions will do.
