Can anyone explain to me, for what I should use the PS+-thing? There's nothing interesting in the store. :/
Wait unitl you see something of interest and if nothing pops up by the last day it's offered then just use it anyway in case something pops up next month.

Finished all my downloading.

Trash Panic and Hustle Kings from Hong Kong
Dead Nation and Infamous from USA
Wipeout, Super Stardust, Modnation Racers PSP and LBP PSP from Canada
LittleBigPlanet from UK.

I already own Infamous and LBP but I may as well have them on my hard drive if I ever decide to pop them in down the road. Can't download them right now because I have less then 5gb of space.

Nothing else on PSP intrests me enough to want to go through the hastle of changing the PSN account activated every time I want to play them so I'll leave the rest of those games alone.

Sorry if this has already been asked, I skimmed the thread and didn't see it but it's possible I missed it.

I've got a PSN account for my PSP, and already got the free PSP games but I'm probably going to be picking up a PS3 tomorrow with the best buy offer. Will I still be able to get the 2 free PS3 games since I had an active PSN account before the outage, or did you need to have a PS3 activated to qualify for the PS3 games?

It'll work on any PS3.

I only wish I had a UK account pre-downtime, as Quest for Booty was the only thing I was interested in. Damn you SCEA.

Man this Welcome Back program has been great to me. Downloaded 14 games on my accounts and I'm still waiting for the Japanese PS Store to go up for at least 4 more. Thank you Sony. :D

Apologies if this has been asked already:

I started downloading infamous but my internet is sooooo slow when it comes to the PS3. In 7 days it dl'd 33% of the game. If the game isn't finished downloading by the 3rd but i've already "purchased" it, do I still get to keep it?

(p.s. Wipeout is insanely good)

Yeah, you'll get to keep it. Starting the d/l is the important part.

And god damn, that's unfortunate.

Yeah, once it's marked as "purchased" on your account it's yours forever.

Also, there's something seriously wrong with your connection.

Thanks for the heads up, and yeah, it's bad. My 360 FLIES though and so does my computer and laptop and anything else connected wirelessly. Maybe I have a defective PS3 (but Good Lord, I love it anyway)

It's time for a hardwired connection then. I'd be willing to bet that all of your other wireless devices are N instead of G like the PS3's wifi is. At this point a 100ft ethernet cable would probably still be faster than your current wireless setup.

Thanks CatPee. It's not a realistic solution for the long term - for aesthetic reasons - but anything to speed up this DL process.

(p.s. it just jumped from 33% to 37% in about an hour...so fast)

Are you downloading more than one file and are those files in the background? it seemingly worked better for me when it was one file and it was showing the current status (how much downloaded so far, etc).

Background download or the normal download? I find background download is usually faster for some reason. Don't know why.

Use it to get Streets of Rage II for free to get a few easy trophies, that's what I did :lol

So if I don't have a PSP can I still redeem the free PSP games? Download them onto the PS3 for safe keeping and then transfer them to a PSP if I ever get one?

And sorry if this has been answered before, but, does whatever I download with PS+ only last until my 30 days are up?

If you have an account prior to April 20, you can get them even if you don't own a psp yet. I downloaded on my bro's ps3 the other two psp games that I didn't get.
On the second question, that depends. For the NA store, you get Sonic 2, Streets of Rage 2 for 30 days, but Magic The Gathering: Duels of the Planeswalker is free, so you can keep it. Once your subscription is up, those games that have a time limit won't work until you resub again. So it's like a rental. Themes avatars, and dlc are yours to keep.

Sweet. Thanks.

Edit: Guess I should also ask PSP GAF, which 2 titles are recommended for download? I was thinking LittleBigPlanet and Killzone: Liberation.

Think the dlc thingy on MAG atleast is that only EU side gets to keep them. This was posted by a SCEE guy on the recent plus blogpost to explain why EU wouldn't get both the dlcs for MAG. So not all dlc is yours to keep forever

Hi, the US are doing it slightly different to us at the min. they get both the packs but access to the add-ons they give expires with your membership. However, in Europe, currently you get to keep and add-ons you download forever and so the compromise is that you only get Interdiction this time. Thanks

What the fuck?

I picked Ratchet and Clank and Wipeout and yet it's only downloading Wipeout.

What gives? I can't download Ratchet and Clank now.

Should I contact Sony? Really pissed off if I can't get Ratchet.

i think the solution to your problem is in the OP

Edit: July 3rd good to know

have you guys found PS+ something that you would pay for once the free trial expires?
I'm one trophy away from 100% Streets of Rage 2. I might buy that for 5 dollars. Fun game from my childhood.

The content went live on the 3rd so July 3rd should be the last day.

While that *should* be the case... has the end date been explicitly stated anywhere by Sony? I'm going to be cutting things a bit fine (will my new PSP Go arrive in time?) and I'd like some reassurance that the expected deadline is the actual deadline!

I'm just nervous they'll sneak some rounding in, or assume that the "month of offers" was simply June, rather than narrowing it down to per-day stuff.

Edit: Ah, it's in the FAQ in the OP. Reassured.

Edit2: Ah, figured out why I was nervous: The EU FAQ *doesn't* explicitly put a date on it, it just says 30 days. Still, it's a reasonable extrapolation.

Is JPN Store gone for good? I hope the Welcome Back stuff is there if it ever does come back.

Zaraki_Kenpachi said:
So is Pursuit force or Modnation Racers considered better for PSP? Never played either.
ModNation if you want a much deeper game.

Cool, thanks. Also, for the Wipeout fury, is that listed as a different block in the XMB? I think I only bought regular wipeout but not fury. It just says Wipeout HD on my thing so I'm assuming there's a different square to choose if you want to play fury on the XMB?

At least we know it'll be back by TGS
I hope :(

Not gone for good. Sony just has a lot of red tape to get through before it goes back up in Japan.

Fury is just DLC, so there's no separate icon for it

I've been putting off choosing my 2 free PSP games. I don't own any of the PSP games offered and not sure which to choose. I have ModNation for PS3 and will probably end up picking it up for Vita, so I'm thinking I should probably skip it. LBP - same boat. Is Killzone Liberation and Pursuit Force good?

I personally enjoyed Killzone Liberation and Pursuit Force. I don't think Pursuit Force is for everyone, but I can highly recommend Killzone Liberation if you like top down shooters. Very well done and was released pretty early in the PSP lifecycle.

Gotta say, if their intent was to sell people on this service with this free month, they have been doing a pretty terrible job...

Actually, the whole store has been so disappointing since re-launch that I personally am convinced I will buy on Steam whenever that is an option.
