Can anyone give me the name of that plugin that let you connect the psp to your pc and view the games on the pc monitor?

Is he ever going to release a new CFW? I was to get on the PSStore, but can't because I need to update...

I can get onto the PSN store with 5.00 M33-4. Are you sure you are on the -4 release.

So I had to get a new PSP, since everyone was saying 2000 I went for that one BUT lo and behold the newer versions can't use CFW.

Do I try to sell this piano black one? Exchange it? Try to get a God of War Pack? Hold onto it and wait a couple of months to see if it can be updated with CFW?

I've just taken a few screenshots of RemoteJoyLite running on my computer and PSP so I felt like sharing them. It's such an awesome application, everyone should try it:

How long does it take for dealextreme to ship out my battery? It's been waiting for supplier since the 15th.
My order shipped on the 16th, 8 days after placing it. I haven't received it yet.

Oh jebus... How are you playing with the Dual Shock?

To be honest, I think Sony should hire this guy and get him to make a RemoteJoyLite application for PS3... I mean, why not, right? Does it work with PSPhat?

I gotta go try this thing... hell, it should even work with my laptop. Hot.

EDIT: It's got VIDEO CAPTURE? Is there any slow-down (your youtube footage looks like it's running perfectly)?

USB to PS2 controller adapter.

There's next to no slowdown if you've set your PSP to 333MHz in ISO mode (using a high quality USB cable should also help). At least it shouldn't be noticable with most games. Wipeout Pulse slows down somewhat and Super Stardust has some occasional stuttering. Both games are still perfectly playable, though.

Just put custom firmware on my blue slim with Despartar del Cementario v5 (so 3.90 m33) using a stick and battery made with my custom firmware fat, but now the slim won't go into the main XMB. I can get to the recovery menu, so the firmware made it on there, but when it tries to boot the main XMB it freezes after displaying the time and date, before the menu pops up. I tried to redo the whole thing with the pandora, but it boots up normally without going into the pandora menu. Anyone know how I can fix this?

Edit: Nevermind, I redid the whole thing and went through with Despartar v8, the latest, and it works just fine.

Is it with all games, or a certain one? I've never had a problem in my 26 games ever with 333mhz mode.

Sorry it took me so long to respond.

Yes, it seems to be random and with any game. I've had it happen in games and in homebrew apps. And it seems to be totally random. I played for at least an hour the other night with no problem, and then it just started doing the lock-up/no backlight thing out of nowhere again. Sometimes it happens within seconds.

I've switched everything back to the default speeds and it's no help. I upgraded to the latest CFW (which was quite dangerous considering the nature of the problem, but I have a pandora) just to see if that would help out of desperation.

It's beginning to look like a hardware problem for sure. The only thing that I've considered is that my battery has gone bad. I'd have to buy another one to test, though, since my pandora can't be used as a normal battery.

Is there a guide on getting RemoteJoyLite to work on 5.00 M33-4? I've tried to follow the instructions, but it won't show up on my plugins menu.
I just figured it out myself, so give this a shot.

Copy the Seplugins folder to the root of your PSP memory stick.
Create/edit the Game & Vsh.docs with the following: ms0:/seplugins/remotejoylite.prx 1
Copy the RemoteJoyLite app & prx file to the Seplugins folder
Install/run the PSP USB driver on your PC
Access your PSP Recovery menu and enable all three RemoteJoyLite options
Connect your PSP to your PC via USB and volia, you should be up and running :)

Anyway to get sound through my PC (instead of the PSP) with RemoteJoyLite?

Take your speaker jack and plug it directly to your PSP? Unless you want to record, then you'll need a male/male audio jack so you can use it on your line in/mic.

Is there any mod that can reduce the enormous amount of overscan you get in Remote Play?

There's a option box that forces the output to respect the aspect ratio, is that what you're looking for?

We do have a dedicated thread for RJLite. Great plugin, really.

Is there a good list of the best emulators for CFW? I think all mine are pretty much old and outdated. It would be nice to get an NES emu that ran Mega Man 1 (my NesterJ 1.32 doesn't)

I didn't want to start a new thread for this, so it's a little bit off topic.

I was playing my original PSP a a couple hours ago and noticed that it wouldn't turn off. No matter how many times I flick the power switch nothing happens. Right now I have it plugged in, but I can't keep it that way forever. Does anybody know what I can do about this?

You're supposed to hold the power switch to turn it off. "Flicking it" puts it into sleep mode which still uses battery. Also to get it to turn off just take the battery out and put it back in.

I know this. What I mean to say is that no matter what I do to the power switch, nothing happens. And I know that I could turn it off by taking out the battery, but then I don't think I could turn it back on. I just want to know if my power switch is fucked, or if I just need to do something simple to fix it.

Tried to get RemoteJoylite running.......it doesn't like Vista 64 :( OH well.

For vista - you have to disable driver verification. Go to CMDPROMPT type: bcdedit /set loadoptions DDISABLE_INTEGRITY_CHECKS & restart
For vista sp1 - hold f8 while booting, and chose no driver verification

There's also a seperate set of USB drivers that you have to use for vista 64.

Ok I have a PSP Phat running 3.90 M33-4. I want to upgrade my CFW to the latest release. I do not however have access to the network update function as my only internet access is wired.

So I just need to download the newest CFW from DA and put it in the GAME folder and execute?

Also does anyone know the best POPS for Persona? I can't seem to get past the Loading... with the little demon screen at the beginning of the game.

Since I upgraded to M33-4... HOLY SHIT is all I can say. The PSN Store... and the Internet Radio.... wow. (not sure if the internet radio was there before M33-4) But I have been using the Internet Radio almost everyday.. It's all kinds of fuck awesome. :D

And the Store is so smooth, just like the PS3 "version"

YaY.

I'm not talking about using a PC monitor. Running PS3 remote play chops off the edges of the screen.

I'm hoping to play Dragon Warrior VII on PSP. I remember early on there were reports of freezes, but checking the compatibility list it seems there's been improvement?

Locks up at Deathpal boss

UPDATE: Stopped locking up on Deathpal boss using 3.10 OE-A and up.

Locks up on 3.80. Use 3.40 via popsloader

4.01:works perfect-ƒR()§†H@X

5.00: Text windows do not display. -- SargeSmash UPDATE 5.00m33-3: Make multi-disk EBOOT (ImpalerPSX), use POPS 3.71
Anyone else played and have a suggestion on whether I should be going with 3.40 or 3.71 or 4.01 or what? If I have trouble at some point can I switch versions and continue with my existing save? Like I said I'd prefer to play it as a portable game, but I'd also prefer to not have to worry much about lockups or impassable points in what's said to be a looooooong game.

I fully played the game (including post-game content) many moons ago using POPS 3.72. I put about 150 hours into my file, all on the PSP.

Awesome.

And to answer one of my own questions since I'm now messing with this stuff; you can change which version of the emulator runs each time you run the game if you wish, and it should have access to the same virtual memory card.

Basically, yes.
IIRC, the save format changed after POPS 3.03 or so, but POPSLoader should be able to convert from the pre-3.03 to post 3.03 format, and vice-versa.
IIRC. I've never actually had to do that.

Yeah, I'm on disc 2 or something already. Performance varies according to POPS version. This game is more sensitive to that than some. I don't remember which I've been using, but I want to say it was POPS 3.90. Maybe.

Did you bundle the discs into a single Eboot or playing them individually? The lists I looked at said it's more touchy if you pack all the discs into one Eboot, but it's been a while since the lists were updated for it, so I wasn't sure.

Guys I have a problem with my PSP. PSP-2000 CFW 5.00-4 recently updated. After updating I can't load any homebrew.

I tried to play my Xenogears last night and I got some error messages after doing a hard reboot the game boots to a black screen. I ISO'd some UMD's I had and they all give me the same results. At the black screen I can't escape out of whatever I'm playing, homebrew, ISO, PSX, without doing a hard reboot.

Also as soon as the update finished I didn't have any sound, I fixed that by pulling out the battery.

If anyone could help me out I'd appreciate it.

Try re-flashing, maybe?

I tried to reflash, I got 4.01 installed and still no luck. I get a black screen and that's pretty much it, no sound, nothing. Is there a way to turn a CFW into a factory original PSP2000??

I can now exit games through the home button without it crashing/freezing.
