I think SE's entire PSP output in HD on PS3 might actually interest me more than HD PS2 games at this point, now that the possibility has arised.

They didn't want BBS to be released on PSN.

One of Andriasang's articles said some games will be available in download form, so not all, so as long as it's not on PSN it's good.

They really should do this for BBS and Type-0. SE would be idiots if they didn't have at least Type-0 remastered. PSP is not in a good shape SW wise in the West, this is perfect for the game because it's yet to release.

They might. Didnt lots of people rebuy Chrono Trigger for the DS? And then that just came out on the VC. Probably not the best example, but the system is on its way out with the NGP coming.

Also this pretty much confirms the GoW PSP Collection to be announced at E3, as well as most likely Peace Walker (which has been hinted at).

Seriously I stopped playing Peace Walker mid-way through because of the terrible controls. Because of that game now I involuntarily sometimes use my index finger on the PS3's D-pad and thumb on control stick. Fuck you, limited PSP controls. Give me full DS3 support now.

I stopped playing stuff like Kingdom Hearts BBS and the second GoW PSP title half-way through, so hopefully they port those. And how about Final Fantasy Tactics remake, Castlevania Dracula X Chronicles, etc.

Why is Sony already hammering the nail in the NGP's coffin, before it even releases.

I really don't understand, is Sony expecting people to buy NGP/PSP/PS3 versions of the same game?

Are they going to market the NGP as a portable PS3, playing your console games on the go?

Isn't this exactly why the PSP was not as successful as the DS?

I just don't know what to think....

I'm not saying the NGP is not going to have any original games, but why would someone buy a main franchise game/spin-off title that has a chance of being released on the PS3 or PS4. I'm a bit stumped..

E3 they will show a demo reel of the remasters showing off games like the 2 GOW games, MGSW and GTA

those are guaranteed money makers and they would be complete fools not to port those, i could care less about the GOW/GTA stuff but its basically piles of money for spending a small time porting them.

and the obvious giant japan selling games like MH which i pray pray pray comes to the states.

Well, at least NGP will have Trophies.

They mention "other PS3 exclusive features", so Trophies are still a possibility for these. Technically they will be PS3 software, being HD and all, so perhaps this will mean it does. Other stuff that doesn't (Minis/PS1/TBG16/NG) are also compatible on PSP which is why not, but as for these, the HD versions seem obviously PS3 only, among "other PS3 exclusive features".
