mashoutposse said:The PSP's only problem is that people haven't seen it up close yet. I think we all counted on Sony doing a better job of marketing the console pre-launch. $250 sounds unattractive when your only frame of reference for gaming handhelds are underpowered, plasticky, single-purpose Game Boys. It's unrealistic to expect people to pay that much without letting them see more than the illustrations on the box.
Similar to how things panned out in Japan, people will continue to concoct Nintendo-favorable reasons that explain why no one wants a powerful handheld, up until the day that PSP becomes the #1 seller month to month.

SolidSnakex said:So I take it you own the most powerful systems?
jetsetmario said:One system owners always get hung up on "oh my system kicks your sytems azz!". When the real truth is that if you took the time to play them all you would realize that they all rock. Seriously there hasn't been one console that I couldn't sit down with and have a good time with.

Nintendo's commercials can be too cryptic at times. Especially their DS commercials and anything having to do with "who are you". Its a nice idea, but nobody understands what the hell it means. Its like they need a guy to come on at the end of the commercial and explain what the "who are you" is there for.

Though, Isn't it odd though how the conversation on this has changed from last week to this week. Last week Sony execs and fanboys were talking about how it would sell out the first day, best system launch in history, blah, blah, blah. Hoarders were preparing, ebay accounts were made and now here we are in a future much different from the one they predicted.
