Plastic surgeries.

lol, stupid.

I don't get what's so great about this song/video - it just looks like a male K-pop star doing a silly dance to a mediocre K-pop song......

PS: what's up with male K-pop performers being out of shape? My old roommate's older brother was really into K-rap, and I swear, everyone was fat.

What...I can only think of maybe 2 out of shape Korean pop stars. You're roommates brother was probably listening to more folk korean music or something, and not pop.

K-anything threads always remind me of how much I love the fascination Korea has with leggy girls.

The pop station here in College Station, TX has decide to play this song once an hour all morning. Kinda crazy how big this seems to be.

...wow, really? Half inclined to listen on the drive to work just to hear this.

Are rapper actually considerer part of K-pop?
In general there is a HUGE difference between people like PSY, who is in his 30s, and members of boybands like 2AM, 2PM, Super Junior. Google them. Male supermodels can't touch that. The most popular groups are all like that, some artists in niche genres are not since they do not need to sell their music though elaborate dance routines.
Agree with everyone but I think this is more because of how they look and the fact that the they are not good for the primary K-pop target audience then the fact that they can't do elaborate dance routines. In fact Super Junior Shindong (the guy in my avatar) dance better then the majority of skinny k-pop idols.
and is awesome

K-pop rap is rap only in the loose sense. I am sure BoA is seething in her mountain stronghold, all that work and then bomba.

Love how Koreans hated on PSY for smoking weed and basically banished him. Now they won't get off his nuts.

Same with Hines Ward being "Not Korean" only until he got himself a Superbowl ring.

Oh you silly Koreans~

Yeah they're odd sometimes. Eunji, from A Pink had to do write an apology for everyone (and her fans) when she hogged a microphone to sing on a television show.

When was the weed incident? His song Right Now, 2 years ago, was successful too.

Oh snaps. 144 mill? What a huge success this had been for this guy. It helps that the song literally sticks in your head for day on end! Amazing.

Back in 2001, he's always been successful though (His biggest song, Champion, was released the next year in 2002). Even after that he was made to do his 2 years service in the military twice as he'd been slacking off at his job the first time and making money on the side illegally. He's one of the few Korean artists who hasn't been really negatively affected by his scandals popularity wise.

Haven't heard of either of these things, I knew their culture was a tad....picky? I remember reading a blog about an entire list of celebs where they had one incident and the entire country pretty much turned their back on them. strange people

sounds more like a tad "shitty" to me. but i guess most cultures are.

People around the world are pretty finicky when it comes to celebs. Remember how much hate Phelps got when he smoked pot? Or when Britney was bald? Or hell, when Felicity cut her hair? One minor incident can make your audience turn. I anxiously await Tebow's incident of debauchery.

Obligatory Tablo narrative of shame

He returned though, talented as fuck. Released one killer album, about to come back with Epik High.

This is the thing I hate the most about K-Pop, that army of basement virgin vigilantes who flip the fuck out on an idol having a drink, or hugging a guy/girl, etc.

I didn't realize how popular it was for Koreans to come to the USA to get their college degrees. University of Seoul is a very good school, but I guess there's a drop off after that so most Koreans choose to go out of the country for their undergrad?

I don't think it is popular. Just some examples, vast majority of students still do their studies in Korea.

Saw some guys doing the dance in a club in Cape Town over the weekend, was so shocked to see it's penetrated down here, most people hate K Pop.

Members of Tajinyo, the group that’s been making malicious claims about the validity of rapper Tablo‘s Stanford University degree, have admitted their wrongdoings.

On September 12 at Seoul’s Central District Court, Tajinyo members faced a hearing for libel and defamation of character. They stated, “We apologize to Tablo and his family. We’re also reflecting on our actions [and are sorry] for causing a social scandal. Though it’s shameless, we ask for leniency from the court.”

One member, who was put under custody after the first trial, said, “I made Tablo suffer mentally and materially. [I apologize with all my heart]. During the two months at the detention center, I regretted my past actions. I plan to delete everything I’ve posted and to withdraw from the [Tajinyo] cafe. I will not behave in a way that causes harm to others in the future.”

Another member stated, “Because high school scholarships were everything to me, I felt a sense of inferiority compared to Tablo. I will submit at the first hearing and will not interfere in Tablo’s entertainment activities.”

It’s reported that the hearing and trial process will likely conclude within a month as the appeal deadline is set for October 5.

The court commented, “It looks like the suspects will not fight, but rather admit their guilt. Many apology essays and petitions were [entered]. We’re waiting for the victim’s position on the matter and whether he’ll decide to forgive.”

fuckin idiots

Epik High comeback is gonna be glorious

I bet Tablo will forgive them, but he shouldn't. He'll probably get a bunch of good publicity from it.

Also, Gangnam Style is the most liked video on youtube, ever.

The spin off videos themselves all have hundreds of thousands if not millions of views themselves. That's pretty nuts.
