PUA coaches sexual assault, spawns twitter campaign (disturbing imagery)

Pick-up artist Julien Blanc's upcoming speaking event in Melbourne, Australia has prompted thousands to join a campaign against his controversial dating advice.

An executive coach for Real Social Dynamics, Blanc travels the world teaching "thousands of clients how to pick up the hottest women" (note: his website contains graphic language and situations). With provocative advice on "how to become sex-worthy", Blanc's approach has prompted many to call his lectures "misogynist and offensive".

From a Twitter account that claims to be Julien Blanc's, the pick up artist tweeted photos of himself choking women he met in public places:

More quotidian: It sounds like the behavior of someone who is emotionally and physically abusive, and how they get their victim to second-guess themselves. Just look at how many of those suggestions involve undermining her confidence in herself. It's gaslighting.

This is the dude from the creepy Japanese pick up artist thread from a few days ago. This guy has raped women. There is no way he sees a difference between sex and rape. And men are paying thousands specifically to learn this. PUA is disgusting.

This stuff and things like Gamergate and that video about the woman in New York has really opened my eyes to how many creepy guys there are out there... I don't know how some people can hold these views or do those things.

Having an healthy and equal relationship with a strong woman can be hard. Bullying someone weaker than you into submission is much easier. Some men take the easy option.
 
As someone who has been exposed to a decent amount of PUA material, this is disgusting. I never looked into RSD specifically, but this gives the entire PUA community a terrible name; the reality is not even close to being like this. It's a community that's supposed to value confidence and presenting your best self, not sleaziness or creepiness, and definitely not this rape or even gimmicky shit. What I mean by gimmicks is that there are some that advocate physical contact openers (best way to describe it is just "moves", example) which I just don't really agree with. I feel like Julien took this shit too far and that graphic is complete and utter horseshit. I would hope that's a joke that's just in poor taste.

Surround yourself with guys who hold really desperate outlooks on their social lives and their gender (justified with BS psuedo-science), and you might start believing it, too.

Because they are desperate loners who think the women of the world owe them something just because. Because they think "chicks dig jerks" so the only way they can succeed is by becoming Jerk Prime.

The pick up scene has turned what is basic psychology into a game because these autistic manchildren don't understand that getting a woman doesn't involve tricking them and using ridiculous psychological exploitation on them, it's just something that happens naturally and spontaneously through conversation and natural chemistry.

I was hoping that The Game would have destroyed this scene forever but it seems like people only got about halfway through the book and missed the bits about self-destruction and needing to maintain a relationship beyond pushing psychological buttons.

Post about him on We Hunted The Mammoth last year, and another one about this stuff. That power and control wheel is apparently the Duluth Power and Control Wheel, and it's a tool used by anti-DV activists to highlight abusive behavior; the post also mentions that Heartiste, another popular PUA figure, has found, er, inspiration in it.

Mammoth used be known as Manboobz. He skewers internet misogyny. I remember him as Manboobz. Him changing his name through me off for a bit as I was used to his older name.
 
This have nothing to do with "picking up", much less with "artistry". This is a clearly disturbed, abusive individual, and what he is doing is harrassment, not seduction.

Don't use autism to justify this shit. Its an insult to those of us who know someone or has a family member who is autistic, which is completely unrelated to weak dudes who are to lazy to connect with people on a respectable level
 
I had a friend that was on some shit like this. He was 100% aggressive and a lot of women ate it up. That guy's lucky there wasn't an instagram back in the day.
 
That is fucking sick, some guys really are cunts to women. There is always that "creepy" guy in the nightclub but in recent weeks after spending more times with female friends on my course I've realized how many there are
