Pulse Elites come out in a week, where are the reviews?

Since going back to the Pulse 3D and fitting the much better ear cups. My headphone audio has been flawless and I'll not be trying the Elites again. But its secondary audio for me as I use a dedicated AVR and 5.1 with SVS sub etc for my main audio.

Interesting, that suggests the disconnection issues might be more attributed to the PS5 hardware rather than the Pulse.
I thought the issues with my Explores were pretty much solved after the update a while ago but I've had several disconnects since then, although less frequently.

Did you have a slim or launch model before? Wouldn't surprise me if most people having issues are launch model owners. If so it's one of the otherwise few drawbacks of the launch models, since it's been pretty spared from issues compared to previous gens.

I had the launch OG PS5, no Slim.

Same here, I bet most PS players on gaf has the same model since it's an enthusiast forum.

Well, if any slim owner here happens to read this it would be interesting to hear because I could see myself getting a slim just to get rid of those Pulse disconnection issues if that model is more reliable! Well, that, and a disc reader. Going for the digital edition at launch has probably cost me several hundreds of euros at this point compared to buying physical.

So far the ps5 pro is more reliable, I bet slim is too

Only had one disconnect *fingers crossed*

Slim user here, disconnects on my PS5. Tried all the ports as well. Not been tested on my Pro.

I still think Sony messed up with these - too many issues. And you know I loved them initially. Its not just Sony though. My mate this evening was telling me about some £300 blue tooth headphones which have static like noises when no audio is playing. And in the end he just used them wired.

I'm officially out on these for the generation since the PS5 Pro didn't come with PS Link integrated. What a miss by Sony and Nishino. Failure to build an ecosystem.

I'm not putting a dongle full-time on my PS5 Pro.

A number of misses on the PS5 Pro in general I feel. My judgment is reserved for playing games that need the pro enhancement, but so far my review of the console is 7/10 and this certainly didn't help things.

My guess is that PS Link isn't where it needs to be, hence all the disconnects people are referring to and they didn't want to create a warranty problem for the PS5 Pro.

Disconnects are unacceptable for $150.
The Pulse Explore are even pricer, around € 219. They sound good, I like that you can use bluetooth at the same time but dropping connection to the console is indeed unacceptable.

Bluetooth is completely stable though, which feels ass backwards when they are mainly for gaming on the PS5 anf that's where the issue occurs :p

It significantly lowers the value of the ecosystem.

With airpods, you can use them on your phone, computer, iPad, apple watch, and apple tv.... all without dongles...

The least sony should do is let you use these headsets on your PlayStation devices without a dongle.

Unlike those platforms, you don’t handle a ps5 at all, it just sits there.

Total non issue
