QD-OLED gets two big fixes (Magenta tint + subpixel layout)

So what will be better going forward? Tandem W-OLED or QD-OLED 2.0?
I think they will be damn close and it will be all come down to features, sizes and price now. I have yet seen anyone other than LG doing 5K ultrawide, only 1440p ultrawide from MSI.

I've had a lg c7 for years now, still a tremendous picture. Been looking for a 1440p monitor though because 4k is so demanding.
I wonder what LG is going to call next year's C series, as we're on the C6 now for this year. Or are they just going to call it the C7X next year.

That's great to hear, especially for the text fringing being gone.

Big thing I'm saving for end of year is an ultrawide 34-39 inch OLED as my main monitor. Any other game that doesn't have 21:9 support I'll just go back to my LG C3.
That was my main gripe - text fringing.

Unfortunately I am still not gonna try an OLED any time soon. Samsung G6 OLED gave me such PWM sensitivity, migraines, burning red eyes that I simply lost any desire to try OLED in the future.

Maybe if they added DC Dimming instead of PWM Dimming like most of Mini LEDs have. I guess I really didn't win any lottery with my PWM Sensitivity, lmao.

That's a bummer, but every body has their thing they're sensitive too. For me, I'll go far out of my way to eliminate any amount of aliasing I can in a game, and various motion blur effects hurt my eyes.

If I remember right from an older video I saw on OLED panel tech. Some OLED monitors now have higher frequency PWM dimming (1000hz - 2000hz +) that I've heard helps people with sensitivity issues. I think the newer ASUS ROG and Samsung Odyssey models do better in this regard, if you see any in a store or something you can demo.

Will try that maybe in a while, currently enjoying Koorui GN10, and it's a decent experience although it lacks motion clarity the OLED has, at least I can game on it without issues and it can do that 5000:1 contrast ratio.

I will either wait for OLED to mature in PC Monitor space, since OLED TVs are generally better than monitors or Mini LED to have more dimming zones.

I haven't yet tried any IPS Mini LED, only VA Mini LED monitor - I'm curious about that one, the more dimming zones the better I guess.

Time to check displayninja, lmao.

I had no idea, shows how long I've been out of the display game. I'm still happy with my telly.

I can't imagine a panel that's nearly 4 times brighter! What I have fills the room already. OLED is an Incredible technology.

I might upgrade to a C6 this year. I have a Samsung S90C and don't get me wrong, it's an absolute beast of a TV. But I'm getting tired of how shit Tizen is and I miss LG WebOS. I might have to come home back to LG this year.

P.S. I still think the the C7 you have is still a fine OLED and I bet it still looks amazing!
