- Didn't win a technical comparison since Q1
- Literally forced to hype an off-brand Zelda clone made in Dreams (Kena)

I guess I would be port begging too in that situation.

Great news. My history/experience with quake has been a bit of quake 2 and mainly quake 3. Iv played a bit of saturn quake 1 on my series x and really like it. So excited to try this. I really like the gothic atmosphere in it.

The gothic/medieval atmosphere and Reznor's dark ambient is what makes Quake so special. Are there any other shooters that are as close to being a horror game like Quake in terms of ambience? I hope they keep it all intact.

Microsofts CFO already said games would show up first or best on xbox. Phil Spencer said legacy titles will still be multiplatform. My guess is Red Fall and starfield will be timed exclusives maybe for a year or 2 before we start to hear rumors swirling of ps5 ports. Phil spencer was recently on an ign podcast and the host asked him if the new elder scrolls will be exclusive, and phils answer was never shown.

I thought we were over the first stage of grief.

You don't need 2 years to hear about rumors for ps5 ports, cus Gaf has been begging and made self claimed rumors about Bethesdas games being multi platform since the acquisition.

Wow, watched the trailer on the Xbox store page and they have gone up and beyond with this remaster imo.

All 3 official expansions.
Brand new expansion.
Online multiplayer/co-op with crossplay.
Free downloadable missions/mods too.

I remember back in the day, when my brother really wanted this game on the Sega Saturn & got it for his birthday, I found the game quite scary back then tbh haha

Case by case means games that were already in development and already planned console versions and also MMOs. Starfield was just PC at the time, it was why Sony was desperate to get exclusive on it before the buyout.

So your telling me starfield a game that was meant to come out this year as of 2020 was only slated for PC.... (even though pretty much every publication had it slated as a multiplat game)... Sir how long do you think it takes to develop a game for consoles??? What your saying doesn't sound realistic at all.... case by case means case by case.... you do not know the inner workings of these companies Microsoft were not obligated to put quake on ps4 or ps5 they could have done what they did with psyconaughts and just made a ps4 version of the game.... its not a deathloop situation aswell....

Hexen/Heretic are the only other ones I can think of from that time.

I personally don't care either way but I was told by xbox fans that NO Bethesda games will come to Sony platforms.... they are even giving this game a ps5 version....

I don't think anyone is questioning the "case-by-case" part. The issue is pot-stirrers attempting to insinuate this will extend to future major AAA games from the Zenimax studios also coming to platforms like PS5. Re-releases and remasters of decades-old games (great games tho) should've been assumed, but some people are trying to insinuate this will carry over to games like TES 6, the next DOOM, next Quake, Fallout 5 etc.

Will say tho, IF they're right and those do also come around to PlayStation and Nintendo platforms within any reasonable amount of time (or even moreso, Day-and-Date), that's going to do a lot of damage (IMO) to Microsoft's credibility among the Xbox core fanbase, I'd argue to growth of the brand as well. I'd even say it would hurt GamePass as well because it's not like Sony or Nintendo are going to let GamePass on their platforms (though Microsoft said the only way those particular new major games would come to non-Xbox consoles is if GamePass were allowed on them).

We'll see in time the weight of GamePass vs. Xbox as a brand to Microsoft; I personally hope they keep their word and reserve multiplat support to just the massive MMOs and re-releases of purely classic Zenimax content.
