Quantum Break PC has no "Quit" option on Menu. Gotta Alt-F4.

I won't blame them. This happens when the game is not intended for PC, but the publisher pushed it in the last second.

I'm not saying it's a perfect solution but the fact that this guy said he had to alt+tab and close it in the taskbar tells the whole story.

the story here is that a PC videogame that apparently also plays better with a controller has no reachable Quit option on the main menu to get to with a controller.

and that's bonkers

Didn't this game go gold about a month before release? Does it not take a few hours to take care of that code? Sad.

Did they port this to PC over the weekend or something? Alan wake played and ran great on PC so it is not like remedy has no experience doing games on pc.

That's news for me.
But what if we're using a gamepad though?

Then it get's more complicated I'm afraid.

Step 1: Get up off couch
Step 2: Press Alt Ctrl Del
Step 3: Select Task Manager
Step 4: Search for Quantum.exe
Step 5: Quantum.exe doesn't exist, why did you try that?
Step 6: Exit Task Manager
Step 7: Press Windows Key
Step 8: Click Power button
Step 9: Restart PC

If that doesn't work.. continue with Step 10.

Step 10: Unplug PC power cord from wall outlet
Step 11: Play Quantum Break again

Easy.

How about we wait for more reports before we judge the game over what one dude says on the internet?

30 gigs to go for me, so I still can't judge, but one person doesn't exactly seem a reliable meter.

That's legitimately shocking given how much flack they've received for UWPs. I figured they'd put a ton of focus into this. Maybe it was too far along.

Too far in development to implement a Quit button.

Microsoft is gonna get laughed out of PC gaming like GFWL all over again.

Microsoft continues to wow the PC faithful with half-assed efforts that make us long for the days of Halo: Combat Evolved on Windows XP.

You suck, Microsoft. You don't try and it's painfully obvious. You don't care and it's painfully obvious. Please do better immediately or just fuck right off. There's no middle ground.

Step two....move mouse cursor to top of the screen to drop red bar with buttons for full screen applications

Mod change the title

lol dude what

yes mod please add to the title "OR MOVER OVER CURSOR TO TOP LFET AND PRESS X"

cause that's totally better than alt-tabbing

the point here is that people play with a gamepad and you can't fuckin quit with a gamepad!

I dont understand how you can defend this

?

what's to judge and who's judging? title says there's no Quit option and that's all that's provided on a screenshot there

What was that about Phil Spencer being really excited to support PC?

How do these people not understand that you can't throw scraps off the table to the gaming user base most adept to notice they're getting scraps?

I don't have to if the game's on Steam..

Just 'cause something is on Steam doesn't mean it has controller support.

It's a fucking quit button. It's a dumb oversight that is actually pretty hilarious that it happened and it'd probably take all of a single tiny patch to fix.

All the ranging string of tweets on performance, when there are streamers around that are running the game without problems.

Maybe theres a quit option when you hit b at the main screen?

There's nothing half assed about it. It's the way modern Apps work. It's gorgeous imo how you can be playing an extremely graphically demanding game, and have it just start up in an instant without flashing the screen while it changes resolutions or what have you. Alt tab'ing is instant.

I love the potential that is there.

Sure there's some problems, but it's early days. I'm not saying games shouldn't have quit options in their menus.. they certainly should... however, it's literally no big deal whatsoever to back out to the main menu and then move the mouse to the top of the screen and exit.

If you've only got a controller, perhaps simply pressing B again will exit you. I'm not convinced this guy has tried everything. lol

Phil's really excited because he can check the box that says "Port to PC and cash-in on a literally effortless effort," and then he can put together some shitty PowerPoint for some press event that shows how ports like this are helping the WIndows Store and how the Xbox brand can scale across different platforms.

Hooray!

I can live with that bullshit, but I know it's not going to be the end of possible issues, and that's outside of the multitude of inconveniences UWP already creates. Pretty much preparing for the worst, because I want to play this game and I'm not buying an Xbox.

Windows 10 store and its apps just smell of unoptimized garbage designed to replicate something like an IOS app store where little fucks are given.
