did gears have a quit option in main menu? you can press b or escape to exit in that I think
There's nothing half assed about it. It's the way modern Apps work. It's gorgeous imo how you can be playing an extremely graphically demanding game, and have it just start up in an instant without flashing the screen while it changes resolutions or what have you. Alt tab'ing is instant.
I love the potential that is there.
Sure there's some problems, but it's early days. I'm not saying games shouldn't have quit options in their menus.. they certainly should... however, it's literally no big deal whatsoever to back out to the main menu and then move the mouse to the top of the screen and exit.
If you've only got a controller, perhaps simply pressing B again will exit you. I'm not convinced this guy has tried everything. lol
PC gamers.. complaining about reaching for a m/kb to operate a game. Now I've seen it all.

This is weird, the Alan Wake port was great from what I remember.
it is without a doubt absolutely lazy, dude.
I get that you like it and all, but KI has a Quit option
it's the easiest shit to implement ever
somehow missing what's standard on a videogame release that is widely played with a controller doesnt speak well of their commitment to PC
like, I get you, but think about how easily you can avoid this fuck up, specially if you supposedly "care"
cool post
Any other impressions other than a single dude? Not shitting on him in any way, I just think one person's opinion doesn't mean much with PC games where everyone has varying specs, drivers, etc.
Well in a stunning vote of confidence, Microsoft hasn't seemed to send any review copies to anyone or there's a release/post-release embargo, so...
Didn't we already have a review thread for Quantum Break? Like, a week ago? The embargo's been up for a while, I thought.
At this point I'm actually glad to hear that this is yet another UWP dumpster fire. If it was a competent, well-optimized PC port with the options you'd expect then that would be frustrating since the only downside would be UWP. But the fact that this is such a disaster, yet again? Awesome. I couldn't be happier. The more of these there are, the quicker UWP will wither and die... hopefully.

And I eagerly await Microsoft's sulking and yet defensive response: "We tried, but PC gamers didn't show up!"
People talking about quitting the Windows app is a common knowledge thing. I never even knew about that and I'm sure millions of people who use Windows 10 don't know about it either.
People are just being smug about it to make themselves feel special or something. It's pretty gross.
So how do you feel about the guy running it at a locked 60 no problem?
I'm not taking any of these peoples word for it. Wait till people here have it...like myself...and many others.

Why almost all pc gamers hate every platform that is not Steam, i dont get it... I prefer this to buy an Xbox One at this point.. I cant wait for Forza Apex on my pc, if you dont like the Win10 just skip the game, is a new platform, just give it time to fix all the problems... For what is see on youtube Gears Ultimate is running fine now, and Tomb Rider is running fine on my pc too so stay calm people.

How do some people have this already? I thought people were saying MSFT typically updates the store 8am PST (e.g. 12 hours from now)?
OC'd 6700k and OC'd 980ti SC 32GB ram
Is alt-f4 some kind of secret windows guru keyboard combination as well?
980tiThat guy's GPU: Nvidia Titan X.
So yay for 60fps on a Titan.
move mouse to the top of the screen. Wait 1 second.. press red X...
Wow that's all it takes? Amazing optimization.
980ti
I meant Store, like Win10 store, Origins, Uplay... etc.what does this have to do with the platform
I was going to ask if this was there or not.
why are you acting like this is something new and that windowed or borderless fullscreen modes don't exist
