No I understand that at one time that was the dogma and the party line.
I'm saying that no sane human being in the modern age would believe that it's real. Anyone who is even slightly educated knows that the royal families of the world got to where they were by a combination of luck, wealth, and politics. The current English royal family is no different.
There is not a single solitary chance in hell that Charles actually believes that he has some divine right to rule. He has never struck me as a zealot or an idiot.
it's all fun and games and pomp & circumstance and ceremony and historical mumbo-jumbo that doesn't mean anything. Until it does, like today.
from his proclamation:
“Charles III, by the grace of god of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and of his other realms and territory, King, head of the commonwealth, defender of the faith, to whom we do acknowledge all faith and obedience with humble affection, beseeching god by whom kings and queens do reign to bless his majesty with long and happy years to reign over us.”
King Charles III officially proclaimed monarch after Queen Elizabeth II’s death
Charles’ accession comes two days after the death of his mother, Queen Elizabeth II, whose reign lasted 70 years.

you're coming at this from a rational point of view and it's probably confusing you a little, but you are making up that he doesn't believe the words he was sworn on just because you don't
