Mad ain't it that meta quest can be used on porn sites and probably the main reason for massive sales among adults and teens

Psvr exclusive and games is amazing but porn is the winner for vr
Not 3 to 5 top meta games some found on psvr

Just finding this out now.

Damn, I didn't know the situation was like that.

Meta Quest outselling PSVR2 30 to 1 on Amazon is insane. Would be cool if Sony ended up porting some of their games to the Meta Quest so that they could have a larger install base to sell to :messenger_sun:

Meta Quest doesn't need a PC, but it can perform better when connected to a PC.
Yup. I went from Ps5 + PSVR2 to PC + Quest 2.

I can say that after a bit of tinkering with the VR resolution, upscaling and pixel density, it looks WAY better than PSVR2.
I play Automobilista 2 and Assetto Corsa Competizione and AM2 blows GT7 out of the water. No ghosting with passing cars, higher pixel density.

Half Life Alyx also look absolutely gorgeous.

And when I'm done with PCVR, I unplug the headset and go play Beat Saber, Pistol Whip, Unplugged etc.

It's far more versatile.

Much better than Quest 2? Here Quest 3 costs more than double than Quest 2. Is it worth it?
It has a slightly faster processor, bit higer resolution and pancake lenses. Those are 3 big advantages.
But that being said, no I wont upgrade from my Quest 2 to the Quest 3.

The price difference isnt worth it for me. And the Quest 2 still looks gorgeous.

I see Quest as a platform that we (IMO) needed. The fact that games can run native on Quest itself made it a valid console alternative.
Also take a look:
Oculus Studios is a competent developer to say the least.

While the Quest 3 is not bad (with the exception for the account bullshittery, which is how Meta make their money). I do think that PSVR2 trumps it in terms of build quality. If Sony can get PC support right, I might buy a PSVR2 to play Half-Life Alyx (again).

PSVR2 should have been PC compatible from Day 1, also not having it in actual physical retail locations was a mistake. They were expecting everyone that had the original PSVR to just upgrade. I'm one of those people and haven't upgraded. Also yes, the wire is a big issue.
I don't own a meta quest 2/3 but I can see how it is immediately more enticing, as it is ready to go out of the box and does not require additional hardware but does have the option to be used with a PC.

One theory I remember (maybe true maybe not) is that Sony wanted to bank profits on PSVR2 units sold. So they went direct. If they sold it in stores like other VR sets they'd lose money. Makes sense since they are margin focused. But that hurts availability. And console gaming is a very retail store focused kind of industry.

Another possible reason they went direct is because their internal forecasts were so low, there's no point doing stores. If you shotgun a low performing product everywhere it'll just get gassed fast and put on mega clearout prices sinking the ship for good.
