I started watching 24 starting with episode 6 of season 4. I fucking love this show.

Are the first 3 seasons just as good? Same kind of setting, CTU against the terrorists? Just wondering if I should get the DVDs...

Seconded. Season 1 absolutely rocks. Seasons 2 and 3 are also very, very good.

Yes, get the DVDs if you have the cash. More than worth it. If you can only afford one, get Season 1.
