I've made a bit too many threads today. This will be the last one though.

I just wanted to clear something up about the Shagohod. The Shagohod was designed to fire nucleur missles from anywhere in Russia to anywhere in America, how ever, this could only have been achieved by the completion of phase 2, which would let the Shagohod travel at 300mph. We are also told that the Shagood fires from any terrian, however, how is it ablke to fire a missle into america from mountainous areas? Also, There was a runway made for the Shagohod, so would that mean that the Shagohod could only fire in one direction or was the launcher able to move direction.

WIth Phase 2 in place, it could obviously fire from any airport, or any longer runaway of any kind for that matter (large roads, highways, etc)

But they wont be able to choose the direction of that runway. They couldnt really fire anywhere in the USA could they?

This is what i dont understand. In order to fire anywhere in the USA. There would need to be a runway that is 360 degrees. If there is only one set runway, then the Shagohod can only fire in one place, unless the nucleur missle launcher could be rotated. It wouldnt beable to fire from any terrain either, unless you mad a runway in the mountains.

Yes you are right. But they really didnt plan on firing at the US, it was just for threat.

The Firing from Any location comes in with Metal Gear Rex, which had legs and could go anywhere, Shagohod was not as advanced obviously.

Ok, so now I asked some other people. Some say that there are many runways in order to fire in different directions and others say that the missle launcher can be adjusted but still needs phase 2 in order to give the misle the force needed to reach america. Does anyone know which of the two is the right explanation.
