Its a self fulfilling prophecy.Europe colonized, suppressed pretty much in the globe in the name of the "superior race". And now that everyone is recovering from that some people somehow wonder "If we can do it why can't they?". It's like breaking someone's legs and then tell them you're better than them because you're winning a race against them.
