Exactly what i thought...last year i got rid of Desmon Mason and Rashard Lewis...for Lebron and J Rich ( mind you right after Lewis had his 50 pt game ) and i made out by the end of the year, i won my Fantasy League.Fifty said:Hell no. Bron is going in the first round of many drafts now, and he might (let's not have DM come in here) outshine even T Mac. Doubful, but his talent has no real cap, and to trade a goldmine like Bron for Shareef could be suicide.

Numbers mean nothing, it depends how you get them. Flip Murray probably had the same type of numbers that Ray Allen was putting up but I'm sure as hell would think people would take Allen over Murray! Lebron got his differently than Davis, Davis got his more on fastbreaks etc, plus he doesn't scare no one...you don't double on Davis but you would for 'Bron...so he got his despite being the main option.commish said:I'll never understand why everyone says LeBron was so good last year when all he did was put up the same EXACT numbers that Ricky Davis did the year before in Cleveland. We can talk about potential all we want, the NBA's graveyard is littered with players with such great potential.
you don't double on Davis but you would for 'Bron
commish said:I don't understand how you can say numbers mean nothing when in fantasy basketball (the topic of this thread), numbers mean EVERYTHING. I don't care if Ricky got 10 dunks a game and Lebron took 20 free throws, it doesn't matter. In the fantasy world, it's what you do, not how you do it.

You killed your credibility right there. It's about stats but also how you get those stats. I play in a category breakdown fantasy league. I can score 1 million points but that's only 1point for me out of 9. If LeBron helps out in ast and rebound and steal HE helps me more than Ricky Davis does. My league revolves around versatility. I do care how i get my points.
Rickey Davis:
FG 3pt ft rbs ast ppg
2002-03 CLE 39.6 .410 .363 .748 1.2 3.7 4.9 5.5 1.6 0.5 3.5 1.6 2.3 20.6
Lebron James:
2003-04 CLE 39.5 .417 .290 .754 1.3 4.2 5.5 5.9 1.6 0.7 3.5 1.7 1.9 20.9
Very similar but remember this, James was doubled and attacked all season. Davis no matter how good he does, no coach would really shake in thier boots if Davis is on a roll...

Maybe, but it stills make my point becuase i'm sure he got doubled more than Davis.Cloudy said:Hardly anyone doubled Bron last year....![]()
