It was decent, but the end was a letdown. Needed another game with name recognition and hype, like Silent Hill 2. Huge misstep not having it on the show. Worth dropping the Play Anywhere requirement just for that game.

Tides of annihilation is gold.

No Silent Hill 2 was a head-scratcher, but it was still a solid showcase.

Yeah that one really surprises.

It's already on sale in some parts of the world, it's not one of those false-insider things at this point.

Why not mention it here, unless Konami wants to do a show themselves.

It's something straight out of The X-Files. The game is already on sale on the Xbox Store and is available for download, and neither Konami nor Bloober have said a word... Being in this PP made perfect sense.

I didn't get to watch it live but it seemed pretty solid. Will check it out when I get home. Love the focus on PA and GP. MS is honestly doing what I want them to do.

It was great just needed silent Hill. I liked almost everything they showed. Especially total chaos with the same day release

I'd give it a C - some solid games in there (looking at you Vampire Crawlers), but also a good amount of filler games I would instantly pass on (who asked for a Hitman/Eminem collab?).

The Cthulu game looks interesting as does Crowsworn. Erosion looks kind of neat but it being a roguelite kind of terms me off. I also want to see what Total Chaos is about. It was a solid showcase.

C.

Good format, no filler between the games.

Unfortunately, other than Tides of Annihilation, the games showed were not of my interest.

Gave it an A. Great selection of third party games. Great format.
And when the showcase comes with the chance to enjoy some of the games shown (via a demo or shadowdrop of the full game)... all the better.

Then, for me, Echo Generation 2 (I loved the first one), Zoopunk, and Total Chaos were delightful and interesting surprises among the games whose existence was unknown to me.

Said this for several years. Just nothing better than a GP showcase. Completely different vibe watching a trailer reveal when you find out at the end it's now in your library. Just a very fun way to interact with gaming.

Gave it a solid C.

I will check out a few of the games but overall noting I was surprised by it feel I need it now.

And to beat the dead horse the ones I buy will be on Steam not from the Microsoft Store.

Someone mentioned liking the icons in the lower left corner of each ad, I had the opposite reaction to those.

If the only console you have access to is an Xbox but you also have a pc that can play games the play anywhere approach is a good benefit of GamePass or for those folks that purchase titles from their Xbox console.

I still cannot get into 007, will see how it fares!

This was a very solid, surprising B+, maybe hovering around an A- but it needed a better 'one more thing' at the end for it to hit that A level.

Games of note:
  • Armatus (Reveal with gameplay)
  • The Mound (Reveal with gameplay)
  • Crowsworn (Reveal with gameplay)
  • Echo Generation 2 (Reveal with gameplay)
  • Vampire Crawlers (Reveal with gameplay)
  • Total Chaos (New gameplay reveal and Akira Yamaoka reveal)
  • Erosion (Reveal with gameplay)
  • Zoopunk (Reveal with gameplay)
  • Tides of Annihilation (New gameplay shown)
  • Raji Kaliyuga (Reveal)
That's a good amount of cool new content within 30 minutes, so much so that I'm worried they may have stolen a bit of thunder from Geoff's TGAs.

C for me. Some neat looking stuff.

I still think it's so bizarre that they didn't showcase Silent Hill 2 coming to Xbox at all. Nothing was really said anywhere, they just.... put it on the store with no messaging. It's so odd to me, lol.

A few games there, like Fatekeeper, looked pretty great. Nothing earth shattering. Thought it was decent, gave it a B - would probably rate it a B- on the full spectrum.

Realised SIlent Hill 2 is now available to buy on Xbox - no idea why it wasn't in the show? - it's 50% off and Xbox Play Anywhere. Not passing that up!
