"Dead Rising 2: Second playable character revealed?" fits, but people would use the same logic to complain that multiple playable characters is a spoiler itself.
 
I think I see where this is going....

Dead Rising 2 will have an AI controlled Frank West that fights beside you.
Dead Rising 3 will feature Frank West's father battling a zombie invasion in the 60's.
Dead Rising 4 will feature a 75 year-old Frank of the future, trying to come to terms with the fact that he actually got infected in Dead Rising 1.

After that, Dead Rising: Chucking will be announced with 1-to-1 puking action.

Consider yourselves spoiled.

People really thought Frank wouldn't at the very least have a cameo?! I'm hoping most of you assumed he would, but just wanted to feign surprise when you finally saw him on screen in Dead Rising 2.
 
Whoever chose the title for this is a dick.

There's a reason some of us want to stay away from trailers, videos and previews for some games. To have some kind of surprise when we actually play the thing.

I don't care if Capcom put this on their actual website, it doesn't matter, some of us would prefer to not know these things when we shell out 60$ for an actual spoiler-free experience.

At some point when your definition of a "spoiler" becomes ridiculously broad, the impetus is on you to avoid them. It is not the community's duty to censor itself or coddle a handful of spoiler-nuts.

These people are not "wrong", but it's silly to strangle the flow of news and information just for their sake.

Really, the thread title could have meant anything. I wouldn't have been surprised if I'd opened this thread and saw Frank West's visage on an in-game magazine cover.

Well if it's thread worthy and it's linked to the story of a game, I think that's not broad definition of spoiler.

Is anyone actually freaking out even half as much as people are making it sound? I mean, if so, please point me toward them because I too would love to laugh at overreactions, but it really seems like people are just saying they consider it a spoiler and think the title should be changed so that people who want to know more details about DR2 will click and those who are already going to buy it and would rather find out things through playing can skip the info.

Is that all it takes to be considered a whiny baby on GAF now? Really?

If the character in question was the principal player-character of the prequel and (s)he was not presumed dead at the end of said prequel, then no I wouldn't understand people being mortified about spoilers. Hypothetically, learning about Leon turning up in RE5 (did he?) would not bother me.

Not at all, and most people/posters here are acting like goddamn idiots. Some people don't like to be spoiled, even in DR. I haven't seen the Psycho's for that reason.

I don't care much about getting spoiled on this little tidbit, but I can understand someone who would have liked to remain oblivious to this thing. Some people here are acting like wanting to remain spoiled on fun little things like this is the craziest thing ever.

Any freaking out over this whatsoever is an overreaction, and yeah, as a matter of fact, it does make them whiny babies. Inafune already said ages ago that they were going to put Frank West in every game they could possibly figure out a way to put him into, based on the overwhelming love for him in the west. Now, let's see... he's been in Tatsunoko vs Capcom, Lost Planet 2, his silhouette is in Marvel vs Capcom 3 promotional materials...

Let's put on our thinking caps here. Is Capcom going to ensure that Frank West is in the direct sequel to his own fucking game? Keep in mind that they've already plastered him all over fighting games, and put him into a game where his inclusion doesn't even make sense.

What bizarro world is this a big game secret in? Is it really getting this uncommon for GAF users to have any level of critical thinking skills?

If people don't want to know something about the game, let them be. The media blackouts for one game is fairly common and it's pretty easy to do while browsing GAF, just avoid the official thread and you're mostly good to go, for example I still haven't played Heavy Rain and I have avoided pretty much all news regarding that particular game and I haven't been spoiled yet.

This is the same as if I were to put in a thread title

"Solid Snake spotted in Metal Gear Solid: Rising? (pic inside!)"

I know I'd be pissed as fuck.

I think that's a little different since Snake is supposed to be retired and dying at the end of MGS4.

Still though, you'd have to be insane to think that they won't work him into Rising somehow.

Sure, he's probably gonna be in Rising in someway, but I'd really like to find that out while I'm playing the game.

I didn't like frank west. Hell I didn't like any characters from Dead Rising, I hated mexican chick and her stupid brother.

Chuck would be okay if he didn't have his damn daughter with him, like I said, if I could I'd toss the little wanker out as zombie bait.

Wow, that's just dumb. Why would someone who wants a media blackout on a SINGLE game avoid GAF altogether? There's dozens of other topics created on GAF every day. It's quite easy to not get spoiled if you are just a little bit careful on the internet.
But a spoiler like this (in the fucking thread title) is just plain unavoidable.

I meant avoid the gaming section. They can go to OT gaf all they want.

I think you guys are blowing this out of proportion. How the hell are you spoiled? It's everywhere. That's like saying I go to Kotaku to read about their japanese fetishes, but find out Frank West is in the game....Come on.

What I'm trying to say is that it is a double-edged sword, you want info on other gaming related things, expect to see some MINOR spoiler- or things that shouldn't even be that bad of a spoiler - especially when it was hinted at so heavily.

Again, why avoid the gaming section because there could be spoilers for a single game out there? There's loads of already released games from this gen I'm interested in that weren't spoiled for me just by not visiting their OT.
Frank West in DR2 isn't a huge spoiler for me anyways. His inclusion was quite obvious. QUACK QUACK

To some Frank being playable in a game where he hasn't been billed as a headliner might be a minor spoiler. To others its a BFD.
 
I'm really curious to find out how many of the people who don't think the title is a spoiler actually finished Dead Rising all the way to the real ending. At the end of the game Frank
gets infected. Isabella manages to create a compound that slows, but doesn't stop the infection. The ending hints at, but doesn't outright say, that Frank West becomes a zombie.
Him being in the sequel is expected, but definitely not a given.
