When you say one shot...you mean just level completion or fully collecting everything?

Only the main levels, but I complete something around 60% of them at 100%, the others only missing a few teensies.

EDIT: And now I'm halfway through the Origins levels, almost 100% for all of them.

How are my fellow gaf members playing this?

Do you 100% a level before moving on or just completing them and then aim to go back and mop up what you've missed?

When playing with friends I don't mind, but when i'm playing solo I always go for 100%.

Speaking of which, i'm getting some of that going tomorrow, with 5 people hopefully.

Like I play all games I like: Get everything in each stage before moving on. Sadly, in this game this usually means "Play each stage once".

Play it through once, and if I don't feel like I've totally embarrassed myself, I move on. I've completed the five main worlds, but each one still has between five and fifteen Teensies yet to be rescued.

My PSN ID is: Tizoc789 in case anyone needs assistance in getting the online trophies.

Started World 4, 20,000 Lums under the sea....blew my mind and I LOVED the stages I played, smart use of water levels in platformers

I beat a stage and if I didn't get all Teensies at least, I replay it later on.
Getting the Lum Trophies is saved for last~

Exactly the same here except I tried to get the Lums first time too. I liked to jump into an Origins stage here and there, usually as a last thing before I'd stop playing.

Now I'm just collecting everything I missed and finishing the Origins levels and rescue levels. Ironically I didn't like the invasion stages at first but now I'm primarily playing through them over the normal ones.

There's so many good things to say about this game, but I have to say:

- the music in the Origins levels remind me of how much better the OST was in that game
- I'm getting everything in my first pass through a level, it's too easy!
- I miss the chest chases :( the replacements are too forgiving.

So how's the Vita version? I have the Wii U version buuuuut I kind of want to double dip for the Vita to play on the go.
It's super good. Played and loved Rayman Origins on Vita and this one feels even better, no issues with the touch controls.

I see a lot of posts saying the wii u version is the one to play so you can co-op with a friend using the gamepad to play as murphy.

Doesn't the vita version also permits that?
It has co-op and murphy is controlled trough touchscreen, i'm only not sure if the multiplayer is like the wii u.

Doesn't that require 2 Vitas (and 2 copies of the game)?

The Wii U version is 5 player co-op.

I went for all teensies before i moved on.
Doing the lums gold trophy for the stages i missed the first time right now, which just means "play the stage once but slowly"

This game has been my first proper use of remote play. In the past I've only tested it as a proof of concept on my Vita and PSP before it.

Sure the redolution takes a hit but it's totally playable and still looks nice, I've beaten quite a few Invasion levels with 3/3 despite having to use the back touch screen as the run button. It's super convenient when my parents are watching the TV or perfect for me to play while in bed.

It's a damn shame Ubi didn't make it crossplay.

hacked ps3?

They could have gone the cross controller route too! But oh well!

Oh man, the last stage in Living Dead party. When that 'moment' happens, I uttered a pretty loud expletive.

I passed that section on the first go though. The level was much easier compared to some of the others.

Just started the game and got up to the toad world, whatever it's called.

This engine is as gorgeous as ever, music is wonderful, Rayman and friends (I'm digging the axe swinging Viking girl a lot) control well, and Castle Rock is an incredible level where it all comes together.

But I'm not enjoying it as much as Origins and I can't quite put my finger on why. I think the constant jumping in and out of paintings to access worlds, levels, characters, and monsters give the game a general lack of cohesion and a disjointed feeling of self-contained levels whereas in Origins everything kind of seamlessly gels together and the levels actually feel grouped together. As a result I don't feel like I "got" to the first world yet.

I'm not sure if that's why I'm not enjoying it as much or if there is another hidden reason, but does anyone else feel the same way?

Why does the Xbox 360 version have horrible looking green ghosts in the first level?

My friend got that version while I got the Wii U version and the Wii U had fireballs with eyes instead.

Just seems like an odd difference, with no real reason..

Those are two different enemy types.

Ugh the boss in the final world is shit

Not sure if I wanna ^5 or strangle the people who approved Living Dead Party.

I love them.... and I dislike them as well. But overall I like them.

The only stage I didn't like was the one with lots of static. It's pretty annoying and the music is not great. Loved all the other ones though. I breezed through all of them, probably because I played through the normal music stages a butt load of times before

If those were fireballs, you couldn't defeat them in single player as Rayman, only Murfy can kill them. I think they changed it to make the scene less difficult / managable.

It makes sense: the fireballs on WiiU are, for some levels, green ghosts on PC, and, for some other levels, they are fireballs.

I've been playing quite a few of the Invasion levels so I can unlock the final world (I beat the game, and I don't want to play Origin's levels again so I'm going to try and beat all invasion levels) and they're really, really good.
Hopefully I'll have beaten all new levels by the time I'm done with it... some of the invasion levels are pretty tough though.

I'm stuck at 699/700. I just can't beat Infiltration station invaded gold. After much practise, I'm doing fine on the first 3 parts but i always manage to screw it up in the last part. I've done the stage so many times. And to think that there are people managing to do it in 28 seconds as seen in some youtube vid.

I got a "placeholder error" in the game(PC version), quit, started again and apparently lost all progress.

Have anybody else experienced this? If so, is there a fix?

I have 564/700 but I've been trying to 3/3 that level for the past hour.

It is one of the best invasion levels. You need to set up a choregraphy.

I am rapidly getting to 700, since the levels from Rayman Origins are really easy.

Umm if anything they made the scene harder because on the WiiU you can kill the fireballs but on the 360/PS3 you are dead if you touch the green ghosts.

I think you can punch the green ghosts. I am not sure though.

So, what's GAF consesus after one week? Touch Murphy stages or not?

Try both demos and see which is for you. It gives you a good idea on what to expect. There is no right or wrong answer, it's down to preference. To me the Wii U version is the one to get if you're planning to do local co op otherwise for a single player experience I prefer the PC/PS3/360 versions. Switching back and forth for the touch stages ruins the flow for me. Using murfy with buttons seemed just regular Rayman platforming but an extra input to control the environments.

Just got this and did the first "musical" stage. I have to say that was way more fun than I could have ever expected. I just grinned like an idiot the whole time. I hope every musical stage is this awesome. I would insta buy any dlc with this type of stages.
